Heard rumblings about this. Not surprised. Good luck Anthony.

Its a bummer but expected. He really wasn't involved all that much this year and while there is a lot of playing time up for grabs next Fall with CJ and Bell leaving, the coaches might be higher on some of the younger guys.
For whatever reason, after that MSU game last year Anthony just couldn't get involved much in the offense. But he's good enough to play elsewhere, so I hope wherever he goes, he gets a chance to start and flourish.

I know the sky isn't falling, but it kinda feels like it with the Harbaugh stuff. Anthony got some serious hype around these parts.

Lot of potential, thought this was the year but it never happened

Are these incoming people that good that he think he won't see any time?
Here is the list of receivers from the UM stat site
1. Ronnie Bell 62 for 889 - gone next year
2. Cornelius Johnson 32 for 499 - gone
3. Luke Schoonmaker 35 for 418 - gone
4. Roman Wilson 25 for 376 - coming back (WR)
5. Colston Loveland 16 for 235 - coming back next year (TE)
6. Donovan Edwards 18 for 200 - coming back next year (RB)
7. Andrel Anthony 7 for 80 - ? wouldn't he be almost certain to play, he has experience with the offense, QB, etc. ? Why leave now?

Because he wants to be in an offense where the #1 outside receiver catches more than like 30 balls a season?
The #150 receiver in the NCAA in terms of catches per game averaged 3.8 catches per game. Cornelius Johnson averaged 2.3 catches per game.

Close your eyes and picture letting the best athlete on your team leave after only throwing to him 10 times, while in the meantime, half of the major college football world falls over themselves trying to get him. While the fanboys claim he did nothing at UM, as if he can throw to himself or as if the majority know jack shit about football.
Then imagine doing all of this so you can get Cornelius fucking Johnson and to a lesser extent, Schoonmacher a gang of receptions. The former isnt an NFL talent and the latter marginally is. Cry about it. Then, (keep your eyes closed!), picture the staff having 0 ability to get Henning consistently involved in the offense, or also to a lesser extent, Wilson, who is your best receiver. This is a pattern.
Harbaugh is where receivers go to die. Neg away idgaf, I helped him decide to come here and they let this kid down, and us alums, fans, and supporters. Tuck and the idiot gang literally pulled out all of the stops to keep him home. Other lateral schools were going hard all season in the kids ear, yet he remained loyal and told them to fuck off. I am pissed. Clemons is his good friend BTW and another freak athlete. Take with that what you will.

I had high hopes for AA this year. Shame it never panned out, best of luck to the young man.

Why would any WR come here? The offense strategy is to run 3/4 of the time. Plus we don’t have an accurate QB against good teams.
