Alumni

I live outside Charlotte NC and been watching games at Tavern on the tacks for years.  Tavern on the tracks is supposed to be Michigan Alumni Football Headquarters.  But last weekend watching the game their, for some reason they stopped playing the Michigan Fight song and only had the game on a few TV’s.  I talked to allot people at the tavern and they were all disappointed.

I believe it’s time to find a new venue...

Please let us know your thoughts.

I’m pretty happy whenever I can find a TV to watch the Michigan game. I guess it depends on if you have a decent view of the TV.

Before starting any discourse make sure you let them know that you did indeed graduate from UM so they know who they're dealing with.   That is rule #1 for all alumni.

Interesting, I talked to a lot, and when I say a lot, I mean allot, of people at the tavern myself. They said there was this annoying guy who kept talking to them about the Michigan fight song while they were trying to watch the Oregon Auburn game their. I've sent a letter to Senator Dole. I'll let you know when she replies.

My first thought was that your thread title does not deliver. Then I realized there aren't actually Michigan grads out there who fail to understand the difference between their and there, or who think allot means a lot, or who get tacks and tracks mixed up. That's a lot to consider in a short paragraph.

I'm leaning towards early morning sarcasm with a touch of doesn't usually start drinking this early.

I think there is a Michigan alumni get together at the Fox & Hound sports bar in Olathe, KS (KC suburb) but I've never gone to see a game there and I'm not sure if they're still a big gathering place for wolverines?

Take matters into your own hands. Next time, bring a cow bell, connect your cell phone to your Bluetooth speaker and keep it real with your fellow alumni.
