Who did I miss?

OP: Who did you miss? Dude. I think you need a category outside the players and coaches.
In that category: Anyone involved in kneecapping UM with SignGate.

RYAN CNUT DAY … end of discussion
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:26 AM ^
You forgot Greg “Janusz Radziwiłł” Mattison
November 22nd, 2023 at 2:36 PM ^
Stabbed us in the back TWICE (left after 1996 to join Davie at ND then left after 2015 to join Urban.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:27 AM ^
Shawn Springs slipped in 1996 which resulted in Tai Streets taking it to the house, he's okay in my book.
I'd replace with Chris Gamble
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:46 AM ^
THAT'S WHO I WAS THINKING OF!! I kept thinking that it was Rambo who played both ways but it was Gamble, names are so similar I mixed them up. Yeah, Gamble was like a little David Boston- always pulling dirty stuff on M d-backs and receivers.
Good catch.

I've seen a handful of UM games in Columbus and '96 is the only time I've seen UM win. That play is etched in memory. OSU controlled the first half but only kicked 3 FGs. UM got the ball to open the second half and after that play you could just feel the air go out of the stadium and the tension and nervousness of the OSU fans go to 10.

Troy Smith
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:33 AM ^
Has to be on there, original Michigan killer in the mid 2000s when they began a long streak 🤮
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:32 AM ^
Katzenmoyer's summer class schedule :)
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:34 AM ^
He is a master basket weaver, come on now !!
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:36 AM ^
Um, you forgot Greg Mattison.
Edit: along those same lines, Justin Boren.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:40 AM ^
fitting that Mattison retired as a coach of OSU's Silver Bullets, since apparently 30 pieces of silver was the sum of his contract buy-out
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:37 AM ^
Can we add Zach Smith as a hated analyst? Or whatever his role was?
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:38 AM ^
I believe his role was “Abuser of Women “
November 22nd, 2023 at 12:34 PM ^
Patron of Mail Order Sex Toys
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:41 AM ^
Urban Meyer covered up domestic violence allegations. He is by far the most villainous one.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:46 AM ^
Need some referees on this list too.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:38 AM ^
All of the refs in the 2016 Game. Done.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:53 AM ^
This is a good list. Troy Smith's gotta be there though. His tenure turned the tide. Michigan used to feast on those statue QBs before him.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:54 AM ^
Tom Klaban kicked four field goals in 1974 to beat us 12 - 10 in Columbus, though I still believe Mike Lantry kicked the game winner on the final play. As for the punter, I would choose Tom Skladany, who was a three-time All-American at OSU. No matter how well the Michigan defense would hold the Bucknuts, Skladany would flip the field with a booming punt.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:57 AM ^
Interesting. Vrabel is the only one on the list I like because of his pro career. Of course, I was one of the the Patriots-were-my-team-because-of-Brady Patriots fans.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:57 AM ^
Chris Gamble over Roby all day, twice on Saturday.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:00 AM ^
Jack Tatum - one of the dirtiest players ever in college and NFL.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:30 AM ^
Obvious first teamer.
November 22nd, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
I was scrolling for him and it took a long time to get to this. I think there is recency bias from the OP. I'm guessing OP is either Gen X or a Millennial.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:02 AM ^
Excellent list, well done. David Boston as a captain makes me really happy. Like, that's absolutely perfect.
On defense, I would have picked a Bosa, but I'm not arguing. There are no wrong answers here.
I think Seth had the joke a few years ago where under the picture of a Bosa it said something like "this is what it would look like if every single OSU fan was combined."
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:04 AM ^
Randy Gradishar was a Class A jerk.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:04 AM ^
Tressel is at or near the top of the overall list for me. He pulled so many shenanigans, and also played out the dopey sweater vest wearing choir boy act while running a filthy program. Influenced Dantonio and probably helped him prep for Michigan. Just an all around asshole and now that I'm writing all this, I really hate that guy.
I would also swap in Dwayne Haskins and leave out JT Barrett. JT beat Michigan, but he always seemed like one of the good guys in general. He sacrificed his body to the actual villains on this list.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:29 AM ^
I didn't like Tressel, but he was too bland to feel very strongly about. Yeah he cheated, but it's college football, who doesn't?
November 22nd, 2023 at 12:39 PM ^
Bland was a disguise to hide from the public the real Tressel. He not only cheated but he was brought in with the purpose of orchestrating the cheating. All that time at Youngstown and he had to know the inner workings of the Ohio high school coaching culture and know who could be bought and how.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:10 AM ^
Hard to think of anyone as a villain if a putz like Connor Stalions can cause their entire world to unravel.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:19 AM ^
Troy Smith because he took down one of our best teams ever and won the Heisman because of it and it all rested on a controversial targeting call.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:20 AM ^
Have to throw Eddie George on there, for participating in the "egregious violations" and "immediate action must be taken" parade in the news.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:22 AM ^
I would reverse the order on the 3 coaches. Have to think about the players some more. Yours is a good list though. Would have to find a spot on the O-line for John Hicks who led the charge to "tear down the coveted M-Club banner."
PS Joey Galloway said he would move Mich down to 5th because they don't pass the eye test.
Cardale Jones said Mich is a bunch of cheaters and parents shouldn't let their sons go there and that NCAA should drop a much bigger hammer on them.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:24 AM ^
LOL, Cardale Jones.
November 22nd, 2023 at 2:32 PM ^
He should finish the sentence and what he really thinks.
Parents should not let their sons go there because they make you do school.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:29 AM ^
I remember seeing Gohlston warming up without pads, a supposed 20 year old kid ripped like a 10 year NFL veteran. In fact OSU's entire team then looked way different than Michigan's kids I knew then OSU was using PED's just like MSU.
But hamburgers, video.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:34 AM ^
Maybe replace Day with Tressel - Day is more like the waterboy, or MILK boy
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:40 AM ^
Your list fails to include the most villainous Buckeye MGoPoster.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:42 AM ^
Nah, you make this fun.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:45 AM ^
I have in my hand TOP SECRET evidence that the OSU fan accounts the mods here have booted were in fact sockpuppets Buckeye Chuck created to make himself look better by comparison
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:46 AM ^
There's not a chance in the world you're on the most villainous list.
November 22nd, 2023 at 12:03 PM ^
Do your Buckeye friends think you're a traitor for making nice on a Michigan board or have you not told them??
November 22nd, 2023 at 12:57 PM ^
They don't know. lol
November 22nd, 2023 at 6:12 PM ^
Don't ever let TigerSweat find out.
November 22nd, 2023 at 2:37 PM ^
do lizard people even have friends?
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:43 AM ^
I have a big gripe with putting Ryan Day as the 2nd assistant. You have to either go Tressel or Bruce. One could also make an argument for Paul Brown (YTPB) or Carroll Widdoes, but my money is on Tressel since he has the higher winning % over Bruce and a Championship (something Day doesn't have).
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:52 AM ^
Underrated one I'd say Carlos Hyde. I have PTSD from watching him just getting the ball and run over the defense
