Great stuff, thanks WD.
Braylon is gonna be doing BTN games this year.
PBP guy: brought down by Jordan Anth-
Braylon: You know.....heh.....I wore #1 at Michigan
braylon might not be the most likable guy but I agree with him on the #1 jersey. Im in my 20's I grew up thinking the #1 jersey was mythical and the player that earned it was special. I enjoyed that.
Literally no one had to earn it but Braylon. Every one before him was just given it as a freshman. Carr used it as a ploy to get Braylon to get his shit together.
That number should be on the field, not sitting behind glass because one former player says so.
He went to LLOYD CARR'S UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN.
Has he actually said anything about it since Harbaugh got here? Honest question...
Harbaugh probably told him to shove it up his ass since Jordan is #1.
gave Braylon that look he gave Jamis Winston when he brought up the crab leg incident.....lol. That was classic...like what the hell are you talking about.
Braylon then said to himself, ya not dealing with an amature here.
Crawford has #1 on offense right? I like Crawford, I hope he blows up this year.
Right, it is a hoot seeing cool traditions flushed down the toilet.
Oh, poor baby. Something you were used to that has no actual effect on anything in the world got changed by that meanie Harbaugh. However will you cope? HOOT HOOT
Besides Harbaugh teabagging you on the Jumbotran.
What would be cool is if Jimmy changed our helmets to solid blue. If he beat Minnesota and smashed the brown jug while saying "screw this old earthenware jar, next year we are playing for the Gatoraid cooler" and replacing the UM fight song with Rupert Holmes Pina Colada Song.
Punter and Kicker rocking 3 I like it
Going to confuse the shit out of some folks
We could have 4 men starting all wearing #3.
Is it just me or does Brad Robbins look like Sydney Crosby?
Nice! my old school Nike #7 jersey is currently occupied by Tarik Black and Khaleke Hudson.
Nice to see Dylan McCaffrey took #10 for Clayton Richard.
I vaguely remember another #10 that has been in the NFL for a bit....hmmm
I've got the same #7 jersey.
I'd thought of it as my Shane Morris jersey. Hopefully Hudson and Black will have more success.
I think guys recruited as DL should always wear numbers 50 and above, and guys recruited as LB should always wear numbers 30 and above. It's kind of WTF to see a DT wearing Peppers' number and a LB wearing Braylon's, and Terrell's, and AC's. But that's ultimately irrelevant, what matters is how they play.
They also should go hexadecimal instead of using duplicate numbers.
Hunter Reynolds, PWO DB.
On former #2 Walter Smith, referenced and pictured above, if my recollection is correct he was named team captain in 1994, despite a season-ending leg injury.
He led the team out of the tunnel to touch the banner on crutches for most of the home season. For senior day, he led the team out in full uniform and without the crutches to quite an ovation.
Late in the game, with the result not really in doubt, Lloyd put him in for a play. He limped over to line up as WR near the sideline. On the snap, the QB threw the ball to him and he sorta fell over out of bounds before anyone could hit him, so he got on the stat sheet for his senior year with one catch for a yard or two. He had been an inspirational leader for the team all year, so the Michigan faithful went crazy when he got that lone catch. Those that didn't know the backstory thought it was a pretty bizarre reaction for such a ho-hum play.
It was my senior year, too (and I'm generally a sap), so it was one of my favorite Michigan football memories.
Memories have faded above over the last 20+ years, so apologies if I have any of this wrong, but that's how I remember it.
He was the first Michigan player to be on the cover of an NCAA game.
Most people think there's only been 3 (Woodson, Desmond and Denard). But there's been 4.
That's him-

Belatedly fact-checking, I guess Moeller was still the coach in 1994, not Carr, who took over the following year.
Does walter smith make furniture now? I love my couch from him.
Sorry it's distracting from the hand holding thread and the second thread today on Kapernick.
