So I wasn't sure I liked the new OT format, but this is wildly entertaining.

I don’t like this new rule. Making them go for two after TDs in the 2nd OT was enough of a change. This is too artificial of a way to end the game.

Basically the equivalent of a soccer shootout, which is a horrible way to decide a game but you have to admit it's tense and dramatic AF.
At least this way involves all 22 players making football plays, unlike soccer which takes everything meaningful out of it (passing, dribbling, tackling).
