Huge for Hinton, Ross and Gray. Big opportunity.
February 9th, 2022 at 12:29 PM ^
All headed to the Ravens
February 9th, 2022 at 1:24 PM ^
Would not be surprised honestly. Either there or the Patriots. BB loves his UofM players.
February 9th, 2022 at 2:06 PM ^
Andy Reid too. I've seen Dax mocked to the Chiefs.
February 9th, 2022 at 9:52 PM ^
Wouldn't be a bad place for him to go honestly.
February 9th, 2022 at 12:32 PM ^
Hutch, Ojabo & Dax will go early. Hinton, Stueber(OG) & Hassan(needs a decent 40 time) have a decent shot to move up. I don't think anyone thinks Gray & Ross get drafted.
M OL guys have been doing well. I hope big Stueber does well. If a team gets him low enough he could be a steal like Jon Runyon was for the Pack. Mike O was a steal for the Pats.
February 9th, 2022 at 12:48 PM ^
Gray and Ross will get drafted in the 6th or 7th round. If Metellus and Jordan Glasgow got drafted both of these guys should. Hutch, Ojabo and Dax should all be first round prospects. I don't think this is a strong RB class overall, so a do think there will be a run on them in the second/third rounds as there's a big dropoff after the top 10 or so. Hinton probably 4th or 5th round, but I don't think he has really any great college tape but still has great potential. I don't think any of them don't get drafted.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:15 PM ^
I don't share your optimism on Gray's prospects. I don't think he's quite in the same tier as Metellus, either.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:29 PM ^
Metellus and Glasgow were better NFL prospects than Ross or Gray lol. Both have been contributors early. I'd be shocked if either Ross or Gray is picked, especially Vince.
February 9th, 2022 at 5:58 PM ^
Glasgow was clearly a special teams star.
February 10th, 2022 at 3:28 PM ^
Reachy
February 9th, 2022 at 1:36 PM ^
Stueber is like 6’8 340. He’s really going to play guard. Seems too tall.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:50 PM ^
You're right, but I don't think Haskins moves up much. Maybe if he runs a 4.4, but that isn't going to happen. He's going to kill the vertical though, and he already has every single other asset other than elite speed. A lot of GMs love him, but he's a rb, so I figure he's a Saturday pick. Pair him with Cook in Minnesota or Dobbins in Baltimore and you have a really, really good combination.
February 9th, 2022 at 12:32 PM ^
No Brad Hawkins??
February 9th, 2022 at 1:20 PM ^
Surprised by this as well. I would think Hawkins would get one over Gray? I understand it is a WR/CB league to some extent but Hawkins seems to have a better shot of making the league in my opinion (which means very little)
February 9th, 2022 at 1:25 PM ^
This means GM's think more about Gray than they do Hawkins.
February 10th, 2022 at 3:31 PM ^
Not necessarily.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:36 PM ^
he's too old
February 9th, 2022 at 1:44 PM ^
Man! Hawkins was an excellent player. I thought he had NFL athleticism / physicality. Bummer for him. TBH, I thought Vastardis might have gotten an invite as well. I did not think Gray would get an invite but good for him!
February 9th, 2022 at 7:31 PM ^
According to one source, Andrew Vastardis is going to medical school.
February 9th, 2022 at 12:35 PM ^
I'm no expert, but eyeballing this it looks like we should get at least 7 guys drafted, and maybe all 8? I'm counting Gray as a "maybe"...
February 9th, 2022 at 12:36 PM ^
Does anyone know which school has the most invites? I'm sure I could google it, but I know how much you folks like to break the stories.

Where's OSU?
February 9th, 2022 at 1:05 PM ^
Just missed the list. They have 7:
- Haskell Garrett, DL
- Thayer Munford Jr., OL
- Chris Olave, WR
- Nick Petit-Frere, OL
- Jeremy Ruckert, TE
- Tyreke Smith, DL
- Garrett Wilson, WR
February 9th, 2022 at 1:17 PM ^
Something (identification of talent, development of same) seems to be amiss at that school. They should have more than seven guys at the combine even if recruiting rankings aren't perfect.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:26 PM ^
That's because they have everyone coming back
February 9th, 2022 at 2:27 PM ^
Yeah, but with all that talent they'd be expected to push out a pretty high number of people every year.
February 9th, 2022 at 6:11 PM ^
7 is a pretty high number if you have a lot of future NFL guys coming back. Remember, SP has them ranked #1 for next year.
February 10th, 2022 at 3:33 PM ^
Not if they have a weak senior class
February 9th, 2022 at 1:30 PM ^
They are returning a bunch of guys from their team last year.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:48 PM ^
To be fair, they'd have more guys attending, but rumor has it the flu broke out...
February 9th, 2022 at 4:14 PM ^
AND . . . it is expected to snow.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:49 PM ^
The same Petit-Frere that got trucked by Hutchinson?
Okay.
February 9th, 2022 at 2:06 PM ^
That was Munford.
He did beat NPF quite a bit too, but he beat Jones so bad he left the game and Munford went back from OG to OT and then got his butt handed to him as well.
February 9th, 2022 at 3:56 PM ^
How did Petit-Frere NOT end up at MSU???
February 9th, 2022 at 11:29 PM ^
In Columbus.
February 9th, 2022 at 12:41 PM ^
outstanding.....
February 9th, 2022 at 12:45 PM ^
Forgive me if this is obvious, but the pain of losing these guys should be lessened by knowing that Michigan players doing well in the draft will be good for the program in the long run.
February 9th, 2022 at 12:56 PM ^
What are Andrew Vastardis' chances of getting into the league? OL seems harder to evaluate than skill positions to me. Once a guy is requisite size, strength and relative speed it seems like the most important skill is knowing who to block, especially for a center who often directs the line.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:18 PM ^
Vastardis seems like a guy who cleared the bar at the college level but would struggle making a pro team. Best wishes to him as he begins the next journey (med school, IIRC).
February 9th, 2022 at 1:25 PM ^
Hope for the best for him. Hell of an athlete and a guy.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:26 PM ^
I don't think he has any chance of playing in the NFL. He is listed at 6'3" 294 but he isn't that big. If you watched the opening coin flip in the Orange Bowl, he looked like a little kid next to the NT from UGA. And watching the game he was manhandled by the same NT from UGA.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:36 PM ^
Pretty much Everyone looks like a little kid and got manhandled by that guy...
February 9th, 2022 at 4:28 PM ^
UGA NT, Jordan Davis is 6'6", 340 pounds.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:04 PM ^
Did anyone read the headline as "eight million players invited" and wind up super confused? No? Just me? I mean, if Oakland University can tell five thousand people they won scholarships, maybe the NFL can invite every high school player in America to the combine.
February 9th, 2022 at 5:18 PM ^
Ha, yes, I scrolled down to see if I was the only one. Def read it as 8 million players invited to....NFL Draft combine? That sounds like way too many. Oh oh, 8 Michigan players.
I'm knee deep in our year end financials so 8 M means 8 million to me right now.
February 9th, 2022 at 1:14 PM ^
Daylen, Vastardis and Hawkins were not invited. Sucks for them. I hope they show out at pro day.
I think Hawkins and AV are likely Undrafted FA pickups due to their age. Baldwin has a chance to squeak into the 7th with an amazing, and only amazing, pro day.
Haskins is a 3-5th rounder, depending on his 40 and 3-cone. He also has to show some hands in pass drills. He's going to be a solid pro.
Ross needs a very solid combine, including his 40.
February 9th, 2022 at 5:36 PM ^
I just can't belueve Ross won't be drafted.
