Channing Stribling, Ty Isaac, Berkeley Edwards enter the XFL Draft and look to be the first Wolverines drafted by the Vince McMahon-owned league since Trezelle Jenkins in 2001.

I mean good for them, but I don't see how this iteration of the XFL lasts any longer than a year again. They even picked cities/areas that already have an NFL presence.

I think this time the XFL is sticking around, at least for longer than original. a good friend of mine is the COO of one of the teams ( I'll spare him any ridicule so not mentioning his name). We have had lunch a few times and he says from the top down they are running this like the "league" and are serious about it working. My friend played for 9 years in the league so he knows. This will be interesting for sure but here is to them having success

One of these dudes is from "Globe Tech", which TIL is a now-defunct for-profit college in Manhattan that for God knows what reason had a football team before the school closed in 2016.

He was our 2nd kickoff returner and a 6th year grad transfer from Minnesota. Braylon Edwards younger brother. Unfortunately his last game was him being stretchered out of Michigan Stadium after a scumbag IU player made a dirty hit.

WE've got enough football these days and none of it is any good. I don't even watch the NFL anymore. Doubt this league would be any better. I think its weird that people keep trying this.

Watch the Rugby World CUp - its much more interesting!

I hope it all works out.  I also like that Seattle is the Dragons.  My daughter loves dragons.  I'll take her to a game.

I'm hoping there is a Michigan player on the Dragons.

Sounds like Vince McMahon is willing to invest a lot of money in the second go around of the XFL. The AAF had money issues and their TV deal was not great. I believe the AAF was actually paying the production costs to appear on CBS and was making little or no money from their TV deal. It seemed like the AAF was trying to launch before the XFL even if they weren’t really ready. If Vince is willing to be patient the new XFL may have a shot at working.
