Feels like JJ's draft position has really high variance. If he lights up in the CFP, he'll probably find himself flying into the top 10. Middling performance might see him fall to middle rounds. I think a lot of scouts will be interested to see how JJ looks vs an NFL secondary

Since this was posted without comment, I'll go here:

  • Star rankings = projection of how successful a high school player might be in the NFL
  • Mock drafts = projection of how successful a college player might be in the NFL

There is endless debate about shoehorning these guesses about NFL success into narratives about college football success, but the forest for the trees facts = back to back to back.

So what’s the deal with Rod Moore? He was a potential first round pick coming into the season and now isn’t even mentioned there. Could he come back?

That makes sense honestly. Besides Zinter, I don't think I could see more than JJ and Jenkins in the 1st 2 rounds this year. We have a ton of talent but he we don't have that many early day guys. I suspect we still get a lot of 3rd, 4th and 5th round guys, especially the 3rd and 4th. I would be shocked if Zinter, Moore (if he leaves), Corum, Keegan, or Colson (if he leaves) make after the 4th round.
