They’re gorgeous, but the Tatum’s are notoriously bad. The plastic breaks, no heel cushioning, and very poor sole durability. It’s unfortunate because they’re my favorite looking shoe right now

My wife got me a pair of those four or five years ago. Does anyone know why they're monobody (or whatever the proper term is), i.e. they don't have a separate tongue like most shoes? I really wish they were the normal style (separate tongue) and not slip on or whatever. They're incredibly slick looking, but they might be the most uncomfortable tennis shoes I've ever worn...

I don't recognize these off the top of my head... maybe a Nike React or a Metcon? That said, the "why" isn't anything other than thats the design of the specific shoe model. Reacts will have that 'sock' style upper, a lot of them have what Nike calls 'Flyknit' bodies which are a breathable synthetic.

One of the first shoes to pioneer this type of design was the old Nike Air Huarache, made famous by the Fab Five. The Huarache was basically a polysythetic sock with leather pieces around it for the laces and a sole.

Next time she goes to buy you a gift, hint to your wife to go online and find you a Nike Pegasus 36 Michigan colorway. It's a four year old shoe so it'll likely need to be on the secondary market, but I love mine.

Daft, my U-M daughters got me those shoes for my birthday in 2018. September 8 is my birthday and we all went to the WMU game that day. Wonderful time inside both the Big House during the game and inside the Wolverine Little House before and after the game.

I only have worn the shoes to U-M games I have attended in different sports and only indoors or in dry outdoor conditions. This includes M football, basketball, hockey, baseball, softball and tennis. Therefore, my pair are in excellent condition.

These new shoes are awesome! I’m not concerned about the durability since I will use the same rules as to wearing them. Question: where can we purchase these?

BTW, this brings back fond memories of the now banned guy who used to update us on new clothing items. Was that WD?

For someone who still wears black shoes to honor the Fab5 can someone explain what looks so nice about these?
The blue isn’t a Michigan color. There’s no maize. I’m not sure what the rainbow edging is about.
Is it just the wolverbear? If so, that would look awesome on most shoes.

100% will not be available to public. They look great though. I’ve been playing in Luka 1s, may have to look into these even though I despise thinking about wearing a Duke players signature shoe
