#11 Michigan Hockey at #18 Union open thread

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Big time game tonight. One of two teams in this horrid non-conference slate that will positively impact our RPI if we can beat them (the other one being BU).

Michigan travels to Schenectady, NY to take on #18 Union.

Union already has one impressive win this season, as they beat BU 5-3 in their season opener.

Racine starting in net tonight.

Man... fresh coaching can't get here soon enough..

These past few years have really taken away some of Red's luster...

Coming out of this game with a point isn't a horrible outcome for us. I don't think the book has been written yet for this team. If we can tighten our defense and have a goalie get hot we can go somewhere. Best guess is we're a bubble team and our tourney hopes will lie on the ice in St. Paul.

Goodness gracious. I havent gotten to see any of the games yet this season but we're not making the tournament giving up 4 goals per game. We gotta shore up something back there or we're going to relive 2014-2015

It sounds like the defense can use some serious stability.  But I like the fact that we responding 4 times to them scoring.  That shows some fight and firepower.  Of course, if we don't allow them to score 5 times each game that would also help.
