1060.0 (you won’t believe which quarterback this is about…)

That was an unbelievable throw
December 5th, 2021 at 8:41 AM ^
And Iowa should have been penalized for the hit!
December 5th, 2021 at 8:55 AM ^
Dude! Besides taking 3 strides and going helmet to helmet what problem do you have with that hit?
December 5th, 2021 at 2:08 AM ^
Eat your heart out Bryce Young
December 5th, 2021 at 2:30 AM ^
I've never understood this expression. A man, being so embarrassed at the performance of another man, will now remove his own heart from his chest and eat it?
Well, if it helps Michigan win the National Championship, I hope Bryce Young eats all of his own internal organs!
December 5th, 2021 at 9:34 AM ^
You can't tell me you've never been so envious of another person's triumph, that you feel so inadequate with your own shortcomings that you feel the only remedy is to eacape from this hellish situation by cannibalising yourself? Weird.
December 5th, 2021 at 2:09 AM ^
The guy that hit him as he threw the ball should have been thrown out for targeting.
December 5th, 2021 at 2:46 AM ^
Yet I was glad when the targeting call against our defense was overturned,. I thought for sure that it would stand based on the way it goes with our luck and their over aggressive nature of enforcement. It appeared to be a mild impact, but it was close and I was nervous.
December 5th, 2021 at 8:38 AM ^
Bad officiating is not luck. It's an outside bias acting on the outcome of a game. I'm not saying the officiating was bad in this particular game (though it wasn't great, especially the nonsensical replay for targeting on a running back), but it is never luck.
December 5th, 2021 at 9:02 AM ^
I love how Klatt flat out called the strip sack fumble at Moo U reversal straight up bullshit.
December 5th, 2021 at 11:40 AM ^
Klatt is a national treasure.
December 5th, 2021 at 9:32 AM ^
Targeting was never called on the field, only offensive holding. They stopped play to review in case they may have missed calling targeting.
December 5th, 2021 at 2:09 AM ^
Corum (I think) said in a postgame that was the best Edwards has ever made that pass including all practices. That’s clutch. This team has gamers.
December 5th, 2021 at 2:15 AM ^
Henning said the same thing about Barrett’s throw against Maryland two weeks ago. Gamers everywhere.
December 5th, 2021 at 7:50 AM ^
Both of these guys could improve Iowa’s QB situation!
December 5th, 2021 at 8:01 AM ^
+1 underrated
December 5th, 2021 at 8:30 AM ^
Actually, given the duress they encountered I thought they played exceptionally well. Can you imagine what the score would have been if they would not have...YIKES!!!
That pass by Donavon was spectacular. Out of his hand...I thought it was an overthrow-it was gorgeous!!!
December 5th, 2021 at 9:04 AM ^
I thought it was overthrown as well. My conclusion was Wow Roman Wilson is fast.
December 5th, 2021 at 2:23 AM ^
I thought i was watching a video game.
that young man is a very talented
December 5th, 2021 at 2:25 AM ^
I didn't even cheer. I just stared... disbelieving what I had just witnessed.
December 5th, 2021 at 2:37 AM ^
Clearly this means Cade and JJ will transfer because it’s between Donovan Edwards and Michael Barrett for starting QB next year
December 5th, 2021 at 2:41 AM ^
Well... he's NOT Michael Barrett.
Edit: I just now saw I'm four minutes late on making a Barrett comparison.
December 5th, 2021 at 2:42 AM ^
That was a heck of a throw. I am always in favor of more creativity and deception in the play-calling.
December 5th, 2021 at 2:47 AM ^
You don’t become the duke of zhou by favoring vanilla offense, now do you?
December 5th, 2021 at 3:00 AM ^
Edwards is like a modern-day Michael Barrett. Can do it all!
December 5th, 2021 at 3:07 AM ^
LATE hit btw.
December 5th, 2021 at 3:25 AM ^
The only problem is, what does he do for an encore? Imagine how disappointed he’ll be if his next pass is a 65-yard touchdown, dropping his YPA by a full 5.0. ?
December 5th, 2021 at 4:20 AM ^
Best deep ball of the year by any Michigan passer, or at least in the top 3 with Cade's flea-flicker TD to Cornelius Johnson at Wisconsin and the JJ pass to Baldwin vs. WMU.
December 5th, 2021 at 7:54 AM ^
DE is an incredible player. The best part is, we have coaches who know how to use him. Future is bright.
December 5th, 2021 at 8:02 AM ^
One handed catches. 50 yard dimes. 170 yard receiving games. Hell of a skill set for a running back, and we'll see more of him running next year. Well, done young man, well done.
December 5th, 2021 at 8:08 AM ^
I was so pissed when that play started. I thought “fukken Gattis” then a few seconds later I leaped 8ft out of my chair. Unbeleivable!!!!
December 5th, 2021 at 8:15 AM ^
Have you considered taking up high jumping?
December 5th, 2021 at 8:37 AM ^
Hyperbole will do-that is where his real talent is :)
December 5th, 2021 at 9:36 AM ^
I thought about it, but after that leap by an almost 50 yr old last night my bad knee is in full effect. Totally worth it though.
December 5th, 2021 at 8:14 AM ^
I would have been satisfied if they had trotted out the ol’ flea flicker, but this was so much more awesome, particularly in comparison to that weak-ass effort on a similar play by Iowa. In a game that felt like a lot like a slog than the final score indicates, this play (and Corum’s run with that run-through-a-chicane cut) were electrifying. Damn, I love this team.
December 5th, 2021 at 11:44 AM ^
Hey Gramps - not sure if you saw it but they also ran the flea flicker to Eric All!
December 5th, 2021 at 8:40 AM ^
I have this image of Donovan Edwards walking into the QB room saying, "I am here to pick up some extra snaps, if that's alright..."
December 5th, 2021 at 8:51 AM ^
I saw the backwards pass when it happened and knew something tricky was going to happen. No way did I imagine it would be that successful!

The ball had a perfect spiral on the replay. Edwards is the man.
My reaction was basically... "Wait...what? What? WHAAAAAT?!?!?! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
The man. Edwards.
December 5th, 2021 at 9:57 AM ^
You know what they say. If your team has four QBs, you have none.
December 5th, 2021 at 11:03 AM ^
Five if you count Villari ;)
December 5th, 2021 at 11:43 AM ^
For a portion of the game, our running back had more passing yards then our quarterback.
December 5th, 2021 at 11:10 PM ^
It should have been targeting after the throw in my opinion.
