MSU's greatest recruiting class consists of Bridges, Langford, Winston and Ward in 2016. 3 of them were recruited by Beilein and chose MSU.
Michigan's class was Z, Teske, Davis and Watson. I remember this board, me included, were going batshit.
Michigan has been 3-1 against MSU since.
I love John Beilein.
I think we may want to start giving Beilein the benefit of the doubt in recruiting.
That was also the class in which Tyus Battle committed to Michigan only to go to Syracuse at the last moment.
I agree 100%.
Look at what he's getting out of MAAR and Mo. Look at what he's getting out of Duncan Robinson. It's astonishing.
Duncan, not just a blocker.
MAAR, not just the most consistent 4 year player under Beilein
What's Langford's line against Michigan now? Two points today is like as good as it gets, isn't it?
I mean, Watson and Davis haven't exactly been tearing it up, but they're doing no less than Langford. The performances Beilein gets out of our guys are staggering.
In this case, the Michigan Difference is half of Michigan State's loss total for the season to date, and although I would normally dread tying the Michigan Difference to anything related to Michigan State, I think we might be able to make an exception in this one particular instance.
So easy to watch this game and think Sparty is a mess and those prized recruits are garbage (except Bridges, probably), but they are ranked No. 2, for now.
it's half their loss total only because sparty had the easiest BIG schedule. if UM and sparty switched schedules, UM may be the regular season champ. i'm pretty sure purdue would. sparty's title this year is a fraud. and we proved it...TWICE!!!
Go Beilein. Go Blue!
the easiest schedule in the conference.
MSU won a fraudulent Big Ten regular season title. They didn't have to play double matches against OSU, Purdue, Michigan, or Nebraska.
Against the 3 best teams in the league (Purdue, Michigan, and OSU) they are 1-3...3 double digit losses and 1 nail-biter win at home.
Frauds.
psu just once...at home. that's the top 5 teams in the conference; other than themselves, just 6 games.. one road game...a loss (osu). 5 home games...with one loss (UM).
The only time I listen to 97.1 The Ticket is after Michigan beats MSU. Monday can't come soon enough.
Yeah that loud mouth Caputo(who is an MSU Grad) but claims to not care who wins was blowing all morning about how IZZO would hava lil "somthing something" to stop Wagner today. As near as I could tell the only thing to stop Wagner was Wagner in the first half and then he worked MSU over in the second half. Valenti hedged on Friday as he always does so he can take the stance that he "NEVER SAID MSU WOULD WIN"...but would be trumpeting thier win if they did. Caputo with his MSU has the "BEST ATHLETES" and will win is gonna have to eat some COLD CROW tomorrow! I may just call iN!
We'll reread this thread in 18 months at the title will read:
"0 and 2 vs Michigan, [vacated] and 2 vs everybody else."
the lost still sticks!
Does anybody have a link on izzo's post game presser. I need moar schadenfreude
No one is afraid of Izzo. He is a better recruiter in terms of stars...but Beilein is clearly superior to Izzo when it comes to development and Xs and Os.
I don't think Sparty's as good as that record suggests, but it's pretty funny all the same!
Beat them twice, and without even trying to be tough.....
Poor Tom, has to face us at least twice annually until he (forcibly?) retires.
In Yaklich I trust
Seriously. Rock hard.
Speaking of records, here's a quick trip down memory lane:

People are curently replying to that.
"lmao---what you saying now!!!!"
Why is Miles Bridges' Twitter picture of an old guy's head in his crotch?
That’s going to sting Sparty fans for a long, long time.
I wonder what UMs PPP is on possessions where MSU slaps the floor. Perhaps some recency bias here, but I feel like UM scored almost every time it happened
As soon as I saw McQuaid slap the floor, I immediately thought, ALRIGHT !!! We are scoring this trip down the floor. The only question is if it would be a 2 or a 3
