MGoTarot Reading: Ohio St

MGoTarot is a fun prediction tool that I started doing last season. The tarot card readings turned out to be amazingly accurate in revealing the outcomes and energies of each game. This season I thought I would share with you.

The approach is a standard 3 card spread showing elements of the past, the present, and the future outcome. I do the reading within 24 hours of the game for accuracy. I shuffle the cards while singing the Victors. I then lay out all the cards face down in a line and select 3 with my eyes closed. I like to use the Salvador Dali Deck because it puts a modernist/art history twist on the traditional 78 card Rider-Waite Deck. Plus the cards have an oil-paint smell that is totally groovy.

The Devil Card is the perfect representation of that Illinois nailbiter. Gone are the beautiful nekkid women of East Lansing. Instead, they are replaced with a hairy horned hermaphrodite. If you remember last week's reading, the cards were impressed with the arrival of a fully formed team. The 10 of Coins and The Sun are very positive. In retrospect, it was a glimpse into the abyss where we saw the real fortitude and experience of this team. The defense and Jake Moody were brilliant in taking the devil by the horns and pulling out a gutsy win. It was a dance with primal forces but in the end Michigan metamorphisized to see another blue sky.

Going into Columbus, King Charles I and his 5 of Swords have returned.  This is a great depiction of the current mental state of the Michigan collective. Despite last year, it has been 20 years of misery. The 2 swords on the ground is our collective anxiety. We all have the same questions about McCarthy and the passing game. And is the defense truly elite enough to slow down Stroud and the OSU passing attack? The wonderful part of the 5s is that the outcome is not set in stone. It is motivation to create your own luck. With 3 swords in hand, there are plenty of weapons to secure victory.

For the most important outcome card of the year we have the return of the 3 of Wands. We last saw our Michigan Merchant going into the Nebraska game. This is established fire with a heavy element of creativity. Look for Harbaugh to have a few tricks up his sleeve. The nekkid woman reminds us that beating Ohio is truly our deepest desire. It is the culmination of hard work and deliberate action paying off as represented by trade, enterprise, and commerce. The 3 of Wands is a manifestation of creating your own success and good fortune. THIS IS YOUR DAY! GO BLUE!

The Three of Wands is a great omen. Here’s to attaining our collective desire this afternoon and asserting our return to the top of the B1G food chain with a resounding W in cbus. We have the will.
