I want to thank everyone for our most successful Kickstarter ever!!! You might have questions, so I'll try to answer the most common ones here.

I missed the Kickstarter can I get a copy?

Yes, pre-sale starts….NOW. Ignore that "8/27" ship date they are "setting expectations" but we should have the books in all pre-orders' hands by 1st or 2nd week of August. Note however the Kickstarter orders are going out ahead of time, and they get to save some on shipping.

I backed your filthy Kickstarter; what next?

I just sent out "Surveys" to the emails associated with your Kickstarter account. You can take care of that RIGHT AWAY by going to Kickstarter. From there, depending on what level you backed:

• If you DON'T have a shirt coming: You fill out your address, select a pickup option, and submit, and you're done.
   
• If you DO have a shirt coming: You fill out your address and pickup option AND there will be another link to take you to our store's order form so you can pick out your shirt/size. The UGPOGO order form is what matters.
  
  Once again we'll have an Expedited option if you want this year's shirt and don't care if your book is signed, and a non-Expedited option for people who want to choose from a limited range of previous Kickstarter designs, plus stragglers. This is so the complicated orders don't hold up the majority of orders.

PLEASE don't skip those because I'll be tracking you down for ages. If you used a burner email for your Kickstarter account, just make sure you check over the next week. I promise not to tell anyone you started a hotmail account in 1999 using a Robert Jordan reference.

If you don't answer in the first few days I'll start emailing you. If after two weeks we don't have your info we'll ship the bulk of the orders and try to catch you up later, but it could result in a significant delay.

I gave my address with my credit card do I still have to fill out the survey?

YES! I don't see your credit card info--that's part of Kickstarter's security system. Please fill out the survey.

I gave you my address last year, do I still have to fill out the survey?

YES! There are over 3,000 orders I can't match them all. Please fill out the survey.

I chose a shirt option...

Let me stop you right there: did you take the link to a UGP form and fill it out?

...Yes, just listen: I did the UGP order form; do I have to fill out the Kickstarter survey too?

If you've filled out the UGPogo form I will default to mailing your two books to that address. However there are further options you can access through the Kickstarter form: Do you want one signed, Do you want to pick it up, Do you want to skip the shirt? Do you want your books sent to a different address than the shirt? Also Kickstarter by default will try to make you fill out their forms and keep hounding you, so you might as well.

Will there be a digital edition?

Yes. All of our Book+ Kickstarter backers will get a DRM-free PDF version as soon as it's ready so you don't have to wait for your paper copy to start reading. That might take a bit longer this year since we made an agreement not to use some of our photos in any digital edition.

The digital edition (again this is a PDF of the book) will be available from the MGoStore after the Kickstarter backers get theirs.

I will again have a slightly edited Kindle edition but that will come in several weeks.

When do you ship my book?

Applies to: THE BOOK, THE DUO, THE SHIRT, THE SPONSOR, THE BUNDLE, and THE STATEMENT level backers

All unsigned books will ship from the printer directly once they're printed, which will happen about 3 weeks after we get them the final pages, which will happen Tuesday...I hope. Once again HomeSure Lending has stepped up to bump everyone who backed us to 1st class shipping, and this is good chance to remind you if you're buying or refinancing you should go with Matt.

The postal service being what it is, please have some patience if other books are arriving and yours hasn't. The majority will ship no problem, but there are always some that get lost, get delayed, get stuck at the border, or get damaged. If you don't have your book by August 14th, absolutely: email me. If your book arrives damaged, email me with a photo of it. A little bump we can do nothing about but significant damage we can get a refund and we'll send another book immediately.

What if I'm moving this summer?

Then DEFINITELY give Matt a call unless you like paying more and going through more hassle on your loan. Oh, you mean for mailing the book? Send it to where you'll be after August 1st. If there's any doubt, send to the newer location—it's easier to get the previous owners to leave your stuff there than to get your stuff from your previous location. If you're between locations I always recommend sending it to someone with a decently sized mailbox that you trust. We lose a few every year to neighbors and USPS issues that are out of our control, and that is way more common for apartments than setback homes.

Can I pick up my book(s) somewhere?

YES. We are going to have two pickup locations in Southeast Michigan on a date TBD because as soon as the books are done they're going to rush-ship them to me and I'm going to deliver them.

• METRO-DETROIT: Gordon Fall's office in the Southfield Town Center. This was Gordon's idea so make sure to thank him! Since it's just down the road from me it will also be the earliest anyone can get their hands on a copy.
• ANN ARBOR: Matt Demorest of HomeSure Lending is planning to host an MGoEvent/Day at an Ann Arbor-area bar. We'll be there early afternoon until late evening.

Please only choose the pickup option if you're SURE you can make it on a TBD day in late July. I'm sure there will be some we miss but that can turn into a big headache for you and us and the hosts. If we have more than a few copies that don't get picked up we probably won't do it again in the future. We'll announce the date when we know when we'll have the books--about a week in advance.

Also note this only applies to BOOKS that would be SHIPPED FROM THE PRINTER. Not signed books. Not shirts.

When do you ship my Shirt?

That will be in mid-to-late July depending on if you chose the Expedited or Not Expedited option. The best way to make the shirts is to do all of those with a certain design in a big run, so the sooner we have everyone's orders (or I've given up on yours) the sooner we print them all. This year we chose not to bundle shirts and books so your shirt won't be waiting for a book.

When do you ship my SIGNED book?

Applies to THE SIGNATURE, THE SHIRT, THE SPONSOR, AND THE STATEMENT

It could take us some time to get through all of those and mail them out. Expect 2nd week of August for them to mail out of Ann Arbor.

Why can’t I send my 2 books to 2 different addresses? We could in the past.

There’s no good way for us to automate that. We tried doing it for a few years and it became a massive time bandit for me and a major vulnerability in our system of avoiding shipping errors. Sorry.

What if there's a mistake in my order?

If you’re talking about a POGO cart (for your t-shirt) email Jill Rood at Underground Printing. If it’s on Kickstarter you can still change your address on there right now but I'm going to close that soon.
