OT: Miami (OH) v. BGSU thread
Is anyone else watching this game? (Will anyone admit to it?) It's only marginally interesting mostly insofar as one of our opponents this year is playing. As you might expect, BGSU does not look very good. The first quarter isn't over yet and Miami is already well ahead of its average rushing yards per game (they average 62.8 rushing ypg, 119th in the FBS).

"are you watching the game?"

I caught a couple of minutes, and apparently the BGSU fans made a human "ESPN" sign in the stands before the game. So that is nice. But yeah, BGSU still stinks.

Speaking of.... Special teams much? Wow.
EDIT: WOW What a hit!!!! That's not a TD... but does Miami recover? And is that Sean Kingston being played? What the hell is going on?

Repeat.

I went to more Michigan games when I was in college than I did Miami games.
So no, I'm not watching.

Same here, and not watching the game. Kind of sad, but we haven't been good since Rapeslithberger. Glad to see they are playing well this year.

Random ESPN dude just announced that at halftime they would have the latest about Cam Newton, the allegations "against he and his family." Horrible mistakes like that make me cringe.
Edit: Random ESPN dude is Ryan Burr, and he just made the same mistake again.

Boo Boo Gates. One of my favorite return men.

I've been out so missed most of the game. What the hell is with the fog man? No wonder he missed that field goal attempt. He probably couldn't see the uprights.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:42 PM ^
What the hell is going on? Did someone turn a fog machine on? This is absurd.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:51 PM ^
Apparently. They zoomed out and you could see the fog machine on the right end of the near sideline was the source.

It's been crazy foggy in the mornings in Ann Arbor this week.

Looks the the Oregon State USC game from a few years ago

First thing I thought of, too.

Would love to see Michigan play in fog like that.
How would you see it then? Miami had another game like this 2 or 3 years ago. I'm not sure what was going on, but we couldn't see most of the plays. It kind of sucked for the viewer.

This is worth watching just for the fog factor. Miami may have the advantage on account of its white uniforms - they're harder to make out in the fog.

alcohol ingestion is up right now.
Results of this game do not matter right now..
Whoever wins is able to boast!

:01 on the clock, NTM is about to attempt the game-winning kick.
Edit: Kick is good, NTM wins, 24-21. RedHawks are 6-4 now.

I wonder what the attendance for that game ended up being?
November 11th, 2010 at 1:13 AM ^
12,073

Boo Boo Gates is the man!

Watching this reminded me of the Chips. Wish they were good this year. The MAC is fairly deep this year, however, maybe deeper than it's ever been, and CMU lost a lot of talent.
November 11th, 2010 at 8:23 AM ^
Players like Dan LeFevour don't come around very often, especially to a place like CMU.

I went down to attend the BG-Kent State game. Bizarrely, BG looked much worse to me against KSU than they did against us. Their QB was awful that day.
Amazingly, though, I didn't hear a single boo from the BGSU faithful. A certain fanbase to the north could learn a thing or two from them.
