Good seats still available in Minneapolis.
October 2nd, 2010 at 1:37 PM ^
Up at halftime against the Wildcats! Perhaps that 'clean slate' strategy Coach Brewster implemented is bearing fruit...
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:08 PM ^
how minn's back up QB also a starting WR? I've never heard of that outside highschool.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:10 PM ^
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:12 PM ^
hmm, touche
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:43 PM ^
That's basically also the case for MSU. Their backup is nominally a freshman (Maxwell), but if Cousins gets seriously injured, Keith Nichol will be moved back to QB.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:54 PM ^
This is also the case at Texas A&M.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:08 PM ^
That was quick, NW.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:09 PM ^
Illinois just executed one against OSU
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:11 PM ^
touchdown!
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:11 PM ^
Miami/Clemson on ESPN3, which sucks, but at least I can have Manchester U up instead of Minnesota/Northwestern, because, I mean, who really cares about LOLphers vs Wildcats?
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:11 PM ^
Actually, game ended and switched over while typing.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:11 PM ^
Zook really wants the IlliBuck.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:12 PM ^
I think he wants to keep his job even more. A win here would help.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:11 PM ^
Good start
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:12 PM ^
Alright, trying not to get excited about Illinois' early lead. But nice drive. Nice to see Pryor buckle under pressure in OSU's first drive.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:13 PM ^
Does anyone here want Illinois to NOT look this good? Their zone read looks pretty well-polished and their D held OSU to a 3-and-out. In my book, this is no reason to celebrate.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:15 PM ^
They tend to play well against OSU for reasons which remain mysterious...
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
O-H N-O!
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
UCONN! Beating an (kinda) SEC team.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:15 PM ^
Why is this Big Ten announcer just screaming the whole time during the Ohio State/Illinois game?
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:17 PM ^
He probably figures the game won't be close for long, so he's going to get all his dramatics in while he can
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:39 PM ^
He's auditioning for a role at ESPN. At this rate he may get it.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:15 PM ^
Pryor with a huge run. He is a big guy, but that just looked like horrible defense by the Illini.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:15 PM ^
Anyone else get the feeling that Illinois might not score again any time soon? I I mean they already had to pull out the trick play. And look what Pryor just did on a simple run around end...
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:16 PM ^
...Yeah. Denard is going to have a field day against the Illini.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:16 PM ^
Pryor just broke a big one. The BTN announcer was a little excited
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:16 PM ^
any other emu students on here notice that EMU/Ohio is on epsn + right now....theres nothing like a packed (1/3 full) Rynearson Stadium at Homecoming
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:16 PM ^
Pryor would have been in if he wouldn't tie his laces...
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:17 PM ^
Come on, Illinois!
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:18 PM ^
That was pathetic, Illinois.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:18 PM ^
No pressure on Pryor for that TD pass
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:18 PM ^
too bad there was a penalty
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:19 PM ^
He had ALL DAY but he sure as hell didn't look "casual" in the pocket. He had a serious case of happy feet.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:20 PM ^
WOOOO! Gophers even it up.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:22 PM ^
Anybody else play ESPN Streak for the Cash? I thought the noon games were a little hard to pick.
- Northwestern will beat Minnesota, but will their winning margin be more than the # of TDs and FGs that Minn scores?
- I think Miami will probably beat Clemson, but who knows in the wacky ACC.
- I don't have a good read on the Kentucky Wildcats vs. the Mississipi Ackbars. They're both pretty bad.
I picked Northwestern. What do other people think?
And, as I type this Minnesota ties up the game with a wide open receiver for a 38 yard TD pass.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:22 PM ^
Weak slate of early games. They should have either put Wisc-MSU on early or had our game at 9:00 Pacific
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:29 PM ^
Yeah there are a lot of good 3:30 games and not a lot of good nooners.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:24 PM ^
Miami's just running all over Clemson so far
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:28 PM ^
Ellington pwns with a great run
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:24 PM ^
Anyone else notice the chick with the Muck Fichigan shirt in the Illini student section after the TD? I snapped a photo for later. What a loser.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:30 PM ^
I also noticed this too. For some reason, Illinois thinks we're one of their biggest rivals.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:25 PM ^
At first I thought those Illinois fans were watching the game in a garage.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:29 PM ^
They watch the first half in the garage.
They watch the second half in the garage with the door closed and the car engine running.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:26 PM ^
They are punting. Bad decision.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:27 PM ^
especially when you pin them inside the one...people go 99 yards every time dammit
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:28 PM ^
Obviously I didn't expect they would down it at the 1
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:29 PM ^
must be that punters 3.54 gpa
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:28 PM ^
but since I'm watching the NW/MN game I decided to check out Dan Persa's scout/rivals profile, and I think I found the fakest FAKE 40 time in the history of FAKE 40 times...
http://northwestern.scout.com/a.z?s=179&p=8&c=1&nid=2433964
4.38? The dude can run, but come on. 12 FAKES out of 5.
