OT: favorite / least favorite ESPN personality
Scott Van Pelt and Steve Levy. I love when they do SC together
Least? Cowherd or Rome - edit: As mentioned below, Jemele Hill.
Favorite-Kornheiser
Last Favorite-Cowherd
My least favorite people employed by ESPN are Mark May and Pam Ward
I was lonely and he met me at a vulnerable time. He asked if I would like to see his Louisville Slugger and legally I can not comment further.
He went to Michigan...
He fired Bobby V... :(
Pam Ward is the master of making absolutely any game seem dull.
Agreed. Any game Pam Ward calls is literally better with the sound turned off.
That woman can ruin a football game, even one your winning.
Without question the most annoying to me is Stu Scott!!!
My favortie would have to be........... Mike Wilbon & Tony K. They at least know what they are talking about and make it fun to watch. I don't agree with all of their opinions but I do feel they are usually sound opinions.
I have a couple favorites and there are a few personalities who keep ESPN mellow.
Least favorite however I have to single out Cowherd and Rome. Both are arrogant and assholes. Never been a big fan of either.
Favorite Berman, IMO he is ESPN, not the best now but he is my all time fave
Least Favorite Lou Holtz, seriously who cleans up after this guy talks???
Berman, IMO he is ESPN, not the best
Stop right there, and I agreee. He represents ESPN and everything that is wrong with sports broadcasting/announcing.
Best: Rece Davis and Karl Ravech
Worst: John Kruk
Fav - woody paige (just funny) and then wilbon and tony k.
least - jemele "i am sure race is involved" hill
Best: Scott Van Pelt (hands down)
Worst: Jim Rome/Skip Bayless
couldn't come up with better candidates...well done sir
I wonder if Jim Rome would call jim Everrett Chris outside a study or if he looks back to see if he is coming for him still
Does Jemele Hill count? She will appear on TV enough I think. If so, I hate her.
Best writer: Bill Simmons (and I'm not anything close to a NE sports fan)
Best TV Guy: SVP (far and away the best)
Cowherd and Rome are terrible.
I have always liked Karl Ravech. I think he is underrated.
Like: Fowler, Cohn, Kornheiser, Wilbon
Dislike: Cowherd, Berman, Stephen A Smith, Stuart Scott
Quite frankly this is preposterous!
HOWEVA, I would like to note that he is not an ESPN analyst anymore
Agreed. I hate Stuart Scott. Everything is phat to him. I get the feeling that he thinks he's an all-world athlete himself that has achieved super-stardom.
Wilbon and Kornheiser do a nice job. Wilbon is the king of "What's the Word."
Least favorite: Pam Ward. Even if she wasn't so gaffe-prone, just the sound of her voice makes me want to throw babies into the ocean.
fave- Tirico (classy), Van Pelt (funny), Rece Davis (before the current "what if.." segments on College Football Live) DESMOND!
un-fave - Vitale, Berman (no more yelling, plz), Pam Ward (derf), Suzy Kolber (why can't her voice stop inflecting?)
also, it has been about 20 minutes since i heard Cowherd talk about the fact that there is no income tax in florida - does anyone know if this is still the case?
Favorites: DESMOND, Kornheiser and Wilbon
Least: Jim Rome
I like Van Pelt and Tirico as well, and I suppose my other favorite would be John Buccigross. He is one of two anchors (with Steve Levy) whose sport of choice is hockey (which I love) and I enjoy his NHL column (or "blogumn") and mailbag on espn.com during hockey season.
I also can't stand Rome and Cowherd, and if I had to throw another in the mix of "least favorite" it would be Skip Bayless. Is Bayless even still on that First Take show? Is the show still running?? I wouldn't know, I couldn't stand watching it with him on there.
EDIT: I kept thinking, and somehow I FORGOT about Rece Davis when I first posted...he is my favorite guy covering college football, and Desmond is a close 2nd. I have to give props to Rece not only b/c I think he does a great job, but he used to cover sports for ABC 12 out of Flint, where I hail from.
Favorite: Erin Andrews' boobs.
Least favorite: Pam Ward's boobs.
Least favorite: Chris Berman's boobs.
Pre-Nutrisystem.
If you could go out with Erin Andrews, but only on the condition that you slept with Pam Ward first, would you agree to it?
Would anything be implied on my "going out with/date" with EA? Or would it just be a standard first date?
Is implied for some on their first date. I'm not going to say who...
But it's not me.
more like a 3rd date girl... that's why I asked
she didn't talk, I could tolerate the torture. Though for torture, I would prefer a car battery, jumper cables and a wet sponge.
if you could sleep with EA but afterwards you had to hit PW, too.
There's no question - you see the outfits that Erin wore on Dancing with the Stars?
Look up the latter on your own...
Erin Andrews having slept with all (or at least most) of ESPN's TV personalities. Next time Erin Andrews is doing an on field report and doing her sign off, imagine this:
"I'm Erin Andrews and this is ESP..glog glog glog glog (the sound of Stu Scotts schlong in her mouth.)"
It always makes me laugh when I'm watching her reports...
Sounds pretty unanimous that Rome is a douchebag corksoaker.
Who's the little guy? Lee Corso! He's on ESPN, right. Plus One for him if I got that right.
"Douchebag corksoaker."
That has to be the winner.
I prefer the term "cockjuggling thunder cunt" Anyone else watch weeds?
I fully support your nomination of John Anderson, but I can't do the same for Josh Elliot. He seems condescending and snobby. He also lets his personal beliefs (politics, upbringing, way of life) bleed too much into his coverage, which is what I try to avoid with my sports viewing.
Favorite: that skank hooker Rachel Nichols. She looks like she could take a dick.
Least favorite: that skank hooker Rachel Nichols when she open her mouth (unless to take aforementioned dick).
Did I really just read this? smh
You mistyped "mlive.com"
Fav: Rob Stone
Least Fav: Vitale/Holtz
Favorite: Gameday Crew and Tim Kurkjian
Least Favorite: Marcellus Wiley and Skip Bayless, and it is not even close
Does that include Herbstreit? I like the rest of them but I've had enough of Herbie.
I don't mind Golic but Greenberg bugs the hell out of me.
I like Scott Van Pelt quite a bit -- especially his radio show. He's my favorite ESPN personality.
