OT: Beavis and Butthead
MTV sucks, but if they bring Beavis and Butthead back I will be watching.

100% pure Colombian WIN.
That would rule, RULE!
and since MTV doesn't do the whole video thing anymore the weakest part of the show can be eliminated
I loved that show, but I'm afraid that it won't be as funny to me now as it was before.
agreed. i guess "The Great Cornholio" isnt as funny now as it was when i was 11. but i also thought 'Live' was a good band. (to some of you, probably still is. just not me)
I bought the Mike Judge Collection and while the cartoon episodes aren't that funny anymore (were they ever? Besides a couple of classic episodes), the music video criticism is still highly enjoyable and in my opinion stands the test of time.
The big problem with bringing back the show is that teenage boys no longer can sit and watch music videos all day, MTV doesn't show them, also will they have new music videos to comment on? How many bands still make music videos? Will they start again just to be lampooned on B&B?
One of my favorites was an episode called "Customers Suck". I have used it in corporate training (for customer service). Its always a big hit.
Lightening crashes, a lone 11 year old cries.
Are you really dissing Live? Live is amazing, especially the earlier stuff (aka Mental Jewelry).
its not a diss when i come to realization that i no longer find something enjoyable. i am not speaking for everyone. i respect that you find Ed Kowalczyk and Co. amazing, but in terms of the grunge/post grunge era, they fall on my list of greats. but, thats just MY LIST. we can agree that 'livin' on a prayer' piped in to games is both awful and horrendous, no?
My wife and I caught a couple of re-runs not too long ago. We were in college when Beavis and Butthead first came out. We watched about 10 minutes and looked at each other and thought, "Did we really like this??"
What a weird choice to bring back. The characters will have to be different for the show to be relevant and funny again. It was hilarious the first time because it was such a perfectly accurate portrayal of stupid anti-social teenage boys in the late '80s. But it won't resonate now.
I absolutely loved that show when it aired originally. I'm a little skeptical how it will translate today. If they don't change anything, it may not make sense to a younger generation. Any changes to suit today's tastes may mess it up.
That said, Mike Judge is awesome. If anyone can make this work, he can.
in the JIMMY!
Heh heh, you just said Jimmy, Heh! Jimmy! Heh, heh.
Mike Judge is a genius.
wear the same T-Shirts
Stuart should definitely be wearing a Nickleback shirt now.
Nope, Nickelback and Creed t-shirts.
YES!
HEH HEH HEH.
Sure maybe B&B will have cell phones now and maybe they'll be youtubing videos instead of watching them on MTV but I think the humor will translate to today's audience. The funniest part of the show to me was how they interacted with the adults in Highland and how clueless the adults were to what was going on. That formula is timeless.
MTV = worst programming on tv
they will most def screw it up.
Have a little faith in Mike Judge.
beavis and butthead do america is still one of the funniest movies of all time. I'm sure the show will still be funny. but thats just... like.... my opinion man
Full body cavity searches for the whole bus!
If only they would bring back Daria.
That show was my entire education on how society should function.
should be completely jaded, refuse to enjoy anything, and always wear combat boots and an overcoat?
Maybe it's because I went into a state of arrested development at the age of 14...but I still find Beavis and Butthead hilarious.
As long as it is better than "Extract".
Hopefully this reboot works way better than the return of Ren and Stimpy.

For anyone interested, here's a 4+ minute look from a new episode. Enjoy. Maybe someone can embed this video, because I have no clue how. Sorry.
