OT-Joe Thomas retires

I know what will follow this is juvenile cliche jokes about Cleveland, and the Browns. All of that aside, as a Browns fan, Joe Thomas was the best offensive lineman I've ever had the pleasure of watching. He was great for the community, and he did everything the right way.
It saddens me that it's official, the Browns ruined the career of one of the best to play the game, and the best offensive lineman to wear that helmet.
Wow, I guess he wants to go out on top (of the draft board)
Kills me when fans say a team ruined his career when he was quite possibly the best at his position for the last decade.
Me being connected with athletics and Sports as a business I really get bothered by this, people just don't know how hard it is to win at a high level in Athletics.
Just my take
How many games did he win?
Edit: In games he played the Browns went 48-119. yikes.
we all know that as long as you have one really good offensive lineman, there is no legitimate reason at all why you shouldn't win ALL of the games.
YEAH! That's totally the point I was making!!!!!
Megatron and him were drafted #2 and #3 in the same draft, and both had HOF careers on some of the worst teams in the NFL. But hell, at least he got to play a decade and was one of the best in the business over that stretch.
This is a very cool site. Found out that there are 3 or less of people with my name. Not sure if I can rely on this or not, but it's on the internet so I am going to treat this as factual.

Joe might've been the best person (funny, personable, accessable, smart, ect) to wear the helmet but he's nowhere near the best player to wear the helmet. Joe is rumored to be moving to the broadcast booth as one of the new Monday Night Football announcers. He has a tremendously popular popcast with Andrew Hawkins and EVERYBODY who's ever met him seem to have nothing but good things to say about the man. And the ironies of irony is the Browns appear to be finally getting their shit together player-wise at the exact moment Joe decides to leave. He will be terribly missed.
But the best Browns player of all time? That just so happens to be the best football player period of all time in many, many people's eyes - Jim Brown.
I meant the best offensive lineman to wear the helmet.
edited.
Otto Graham may have a legit claim to this as well.
I used to laugh at the old fuddy-duddies who would positively compare Jim Brown with Barry Sanders or other modern runners. How silly, I thought.
Then I saw the highlight embedded in your post amongst a package of other highlights.
It substantially moderated my position.
And they missed on Nate Solder, though I wouldn't have expected him to pick Cleveland over anywhere else. Browns o-line will be worse next year than last.
The dude didn't miss a snap.
All people need to know is :
Hall of Fame player, on one of the worst teams in pro sports history .With no QBs or decent RBs some how Thomas was still great ....
