SB nation snubs Mo Hurst
Apparently a guy named Stephen White thinks Vita Vea is better than Maurice Hurst with a headline like this:
Vita Vea is the NFL Draft’s most dominant interior defensive lineman, period.

This is also the guy, btw, who gave Taylor Lewan a less-than-glowing review.
At the end of the day, Taylor Lewan is a level below Greg Robinson and Jake Matthews
Lewan turned out to be the best OL of his draft class.

Nope. If I was 12, I would probably have known what you were talking about.
I follow Mchigan football players. Like, Mo Hurst.

Is that right next to your personal record book?
Yeah... well, you know that's just like your opinion man.
will show them - gotta have faith
Disagree. A multi-down three tech is vastly more valuable than a run-stuffer, unless that run stuffer can offer a reasonable amount of pass rush (or, at least enough pass rush to be among your 4 best rushers to be out there on passing downs). Vea sure looks like he will be a great NT, but from a value perspective it's hard to justify spending a high first rounder on a guy who won't be out there on passing downs.
Aaron Donald agrees with your assessment. But take that with a grain of salt, he's only been to 4 Pro Bowls and been the NFL defensive player of the year once.
Unlike, say, our board full of geniuses who know Mo will murder all of the NFL backfields.
What's YOUR problem, bub?
How dare he!
They don't even talk about Hurst. Vea is good, that's no question and most people have him going higher than Hurst. Right now, we don't even know if Hurst will be cleared to play long term
A snub from SBNation is meh. Hopefully none of the 32 NFL teams will do it to Mo.
On another note, I don't see the love for Kirk Cousins! The guy has regressed in the past three years. Broncos have put their faith on Case K which I am not sure is good. But whatever. The GMs know a lot more than we fans do.
Broncos are desperate for a competent QB.
I guess. I was looking at the QBR and overall rating, that's why the "regressed" comment. Throwing for an average of 250 yds/game over a three year period is impressive. But somehow I still don't see a $80million+ QB. Hopefully it will work out for all involved.

I keep seeing 4k thrown around as if it is some amazing bar to cross. When you throw the ball 550+ times a year, you'll get there if you have even competent weapons around you. Don't believe me? Blake Bortles threw for 4400 yards in 2015, then followed it up with 3905 in 2016. And Cousins had weapons in Washington during his best years - Jordan Reed was a Pro Bowler in 2016 (and should have been one in 2015 as well), and Jackson and Garcon are perfectly competent WRs. He also had a decent offensive line in 2015 and 2016.
What seemed to happen was 2017 everyone got hurt and he did what he could to keep the offense going. He's a fine QB, but his pick rate went up, his YPA went down, and his overall rating came out as about league average, maybe a tick above. Again, he's a fine QB. But as a Lions' fan, Matthew Stafford is practically the same age and has been a better QB for longer with arguably far worse players around him, and people lost their minds when he got his last contract.
Minnesota will likely be a bit better with Cousins than Keenum, but Cousins had a significantly worse pick rate and abiout the same TD rate as Keenum. And if you are defense-first outfit, the last thing you need is your QB causing turnovers. So I'm not sure if, in aggregate, Cousins will make the Vikings a better team.
gave some love for Brandon Graham just after the Super Bowl so does that cancel out your hatred?
Oh wow, so upset. Try not giving a shit sometimes.
Cassaroles
He's not really wrong.
I like Mo way better, too. However, I am not going to let some emphatic opinion of one person regarding one player ahead of our beloved Mo impact me emotionally. File this one under the category of; relax, disagree, shoulder shrug, no big deal, move on. Don't let Stephen White ruffle your feathers so much.
Opinions are like assholes..... and every asshole has one.

I think the saying goes "... everybody has one and most of them stink."
Not surprising...Mo pretty much ate all the opposing linemen resulting in no one left to testify to his greatness
Considering that Mo has been diagnosed with a heart condition, it's not surprising. And I wouldn't say Mo was the best DT in the draft even if he wasn't.
One of the best, sure. And depending on how he did at the combine, he could've garnered late first-round status. But he's probably a Day 2 guy at this point. Hopefully he can put in some work at Michigan's Pro Day.
