The MGoBoard Class of 2010
Just curious, how many members of the MGoCommunity are graduating from U of M this Saturday?
I am, Bachelor's in Materials Engineering.
Though now you just get to spend the rest of your life wishing you could go back to college like the rest of us.
Two words for you....grad school
That's the plan--9 years later. I'm lovin' me some MBA.

I'm currently just finishing my 7th straight year in college. Graduating is for quitters!

I'm embarrassed to name how many years i've been in undergrad...
April 25th, 2010 at 10:48 PM ^
Just a shot in the dark here, but 10?
April 25th, 2010 at 10:54 PM ^
Nope, 12, but I did take 4 years off and multiple years of part time classes

College housemate of mine was a student in Ann Arbor continuously from 1991-2006. Bachelor's degree in philosophy, bachelor's in psychology, med school. Plus some time at WCC to do the med school prerequisites.
15 years.
I only managed to squeeze in seven years of higher education between undergrad and law school (going to class was a dumb idea). Now at least once a week I end up like that guy at the end of Schindler's List just sobbing and shouting, "I could have done more, I could have done more!"
You mean, Schindler? ;-)
But it's all true. You've completely encapsulated the post college experience.
Sorry, I was making out during most of the movie.
Was she Jewish? Extra points for extra kink.
and i finished UM in 3, then a Masters, then law school
so you're just a quitter
bet you can't even spell properly!
After an extra two years of Masters schoolin', I can honestly say that I've had senioritis for 3 years. I ready to get the heck out of here.
Best 9 years of my life.
Creamy...
... the Alumni Assn is on line #1.
I'll be there, Bachelor in Civil Engineering.
The real question is how many of you are getting drafted as opposed to prior to RR's arrival.
Economics.
Congratulations! It must feel so good to know that all that hard work is culminating into a degree from the greatest university in the world. I can only watch with envy :)
You represent all of us. Do us proud. Be like BG.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:27 AM ^
Be like BG...I like that. Classy to the max.
Congrats on the MSE degree! What are you planning on doing with it? I'm an '01 grad from MSE that ended up with a masters in Biomed and working in a totally unrelated medical field. Is the job market decent?
April 26th, 2010 at 12:51 AM ^
Steel industry. I'm going to do operations work for awhile and try to work my way into management. In a couple of decades i plan on having a mid-life crisis and going back to school to become a history professor.

Isn't that every Michigan engineer grad's plan? Work for 3 years as a grunt and then get started down the management path by either going back to school or learning on the job? I know that's what I'm thinking as an ME after I graduate next year.
brother is graduating from Ross on saturday but staying to get a masters.
is also MSE, graduating this weekend. You must know one another...
I'll be back in town to celebrate with him, and actually showing up at the big commencement unlike mine 5 years ago (though I did go to the Friday night BBA graduation).

I didn't know Michigan State was finally graduating.
younger brother would have been a better term.
"You let him get a lead and let him get excited, but then you take it back from him."
Enjoy the next couple of weeks. The real world suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
Welcome to Unemployment?
