Not a great lineup...but before you complain, think about what you were doing on Saturday just 1 month ago.

Yes, but only because Ohio State has been on College Gameday and unusual high rate recently (last 4 games): 11/26 @ Michigan, 12/31 vs. Clemson, 8/31 @ Indiana, and 9/9 vs. Oklahoma

OSU must have watched our offensive gameplan and decided to do the opposite.
Honestly, why doesnt Ohio State switch to the triple option? It would be scary with their athletes

Because one of the reasons you run it is to limit the number of possessions so athletic disparities are not as important. For a team as talented as OSU that would be counterproductive.

But the same was said about the spread.
Me thinks, that the spread is approximately the midway point between pro-style and triple option.
I just realized that I answered my own question.

Officiating in Iowa City is... not great.
This is also a very #BIGTEEEEN kind of day, except for Purdue.

OL and RBs like WI. Their freshman back is going to tear up the B1G. Why can't one of our freshmen backs to the same. I guess at this point WI OL is far superior but it seems like our highly rated OL players never play well.

on the road at BYU.
September 16th, 2017 at 5:19 PM ^
I've watched a good chunk of BYU this year. They're not very good.

Air Force has won 10 games two of the last three years, won 8 the year in between, and has made a bowl 9 of the last 10 years. That's a good program.
September 16th, 2017 at 5:19 PM ^
is no worse than cincy or air force
September 16th, 2017 at 5:20 PM ^
Air Force would destroy BYU this year.
September 16th, 2017 at 5:35 PM ^
62 on sagarin
airforce is 70

It's like the opposite of our game..this is all offense, no defense. I also think it's funny that the ACC Network guys are basically a Syracuse crew.
To be honest, I wish BTN was more like that. If Michigan is on BTN playing a OOC opponent, 95% of the people watching will be Michigan fans, so why have a crew there covering it like they're a national crew hoping for an upset. You're a conference network..be homers for your conference.

B1G kinda sucks this year huh
September 16th, 2017 at 5:18 PM ^
It's more just kinda bleh than sucks. Fewer really shitty teams (just Illinois and Rutgers) but I don't see an elite team either.

No. Mizzou sucks.
September 16th, 2017 at 5:18 PM ^
Damn Purdue. Looks like we have the top 2 teams in the BIG West on our schedule this year, both on the road.
September 16th, 2017 at 5:20 PM ^
is the game where our secondary will be tested. I sure wish we had the Purdue QB.
September 16th, 2017 at 5:23 PM ^
Wilton Speight or JT Barrett? (joking)
But it's crazy that both teams are ready to bench their starter.
September 16th, 2017 at 5:39 PM ^
JT Barrett was preatty good with tom Herman.
Lately, Speight doesnt seem a good fit for EITHER style of offense.

Because he got a raise and extension any time Michigan may have had a coaching change. Harbaugh getting hired was the worst possible thing for his wallet.

over Purdue, note that Auburn is up 10-3 against Mercer at the half.
September 16th, 2017 at 5:29 PM ^
So you're saying they will be joining the Jeff Brohm bidding war between Florida and Tennessee?

Tennessee continues to be the luckiest team alive under Butch Jones. Their TO luck regarding fumbles has to be off the charts. Without it last year they go 5-7 or 6-6.

Missouri entered today's game 10th in the SEC in total defense, allowing 425.5 yards per game. The Tigers allowed more than half that total (230 yards) in the first quarter today against Purdue. Mizzou is getting blown out 28-0 in the second quarter and is getting out-gained at home 336-47 only days after firing DC DeMontie Cross.

Purdue is way better, but I'm not willing to call them good yet. We're still good, with elite defense.

Right, probably the Tiller era.

Morgan State is the worst team I've ever seen. The kid from my high school is killing it for Rutgers though, hopefully they'll make him a starter soon.
