Still a rumor at this point...but it seems all but confirmed by Goddell.
EDIT: And LOL and the ultimate "FIRST!" moment scouring Twitter to find out a draft pick 2 picks before it's announced.
EDIT #2: Go get 'em Taco! Time to eat.

Who's next? Jourdan Lewis?
April 27th, 2017 at 11:55 PM ^
Late 2nd round...Packers or Cowboys...something like that.
Edit: You said "who" not "when"...my bad. I agree with the poster below. Wormley will go ahead of him. IMO mid-late 2nd and Lewis is super late 2nd/early 3rd.

Wormley will be next. Then Lewis.

2 guys in the first round. Wolverine Devotee you get a begrudging upvote.

Hate how long they drag the 1st round out. Just play the ads that were paid for and stop with the filler

I had no idea his real name is ViDaunte, haha!

As a Giants fan, I absolutely hate this! On the bright side, I get to see him dominate twice a year. Congrats Taco!

Did anyone catch what the ESPN announcer said after the Charlton pick? Says akin to "This second Michigan first rounder, besides Peppers, was the most first round picks the Wolverines had in the prior ten years COMBINED" If true, what a slap in the fucking face.
So there was Lewan, and who else? There has to be more than one other, right? Graham?
April 28th, 2017 at 12:05 AM ^
I believe you are correct. Graham and Lewan.

Sad to say but only 2 1st rounders in 10 years. Glad to see Harbaugh will get more in the near future. Hope to see Butt, Lewis and Wormley in the 2nd.

There's also Jake Long in 2008, unless I'm wrong about what the current year is. I assume he was trying to say that it had been over ten years since Michigan had two first rounders. The last time that happened was 2005 with Braylon and Marlin Jackson.
cut me some slack, jack, of course i did... very closely... i guess this inconvenient fact escaped me, and i blame cognitive dissonance for it....

Nice

So rewarding, although not to the degree it is to the player, to see someone who obviously worked as hard as possible and did all that was asked be rewarded in this manner. Was a pleasure to watch the young man grow, as both a player and person while in Ann Arbor. It's nice to see these young men, especially of this nature, extremely rare football talents that all but promise a successful career, armed as well with the UM degree that will serve them well for the rest of their lives. Good job, young man.
Glad to see Charlton go in the first round. Really feel like he deserved it. People forget that he was banged up for half the season, that it's not just a case of "he came on late" as was advertised last night. Likely he'd have played all year the way he played vs OSU had he been healthy. Legit first round talent here.
I could never understand why he did not start as a junior since I felt he was an exceptional talent. Cannot wait to see him display his talent on Sundays. Congrats Mr. Charlton!
I think I'm one of the few MGoReaders who's both a Michigan alum and a Cowboys fan (I spent a big chunk of my childhood in Dallas, so sue me). Really stoked about this! The Cowboys have almost never had a Michigan player on their roster; I was cautiously optimistic that would finally change this year. They need good D-linemen and defensive backs in the worst way, and perhaps an heir apparent for Jason Witten, so I thought Peppers & Taco might certainly be options for them at #28, and Wormley/Lewis/Butt on Day 2.
Happy for Taco -- sounded like Dallas was one of his preferred destinations -- and very happy for the Cowboys, because I think Taco's best football is still ahead of him.

I am not a Michigan alum but I am a diehard fan of both Michigan and the Cowboys!! This was the pick I was hoping for as early as 3 months ago. So excited to watch Taco grow and become an absolute beast for the Cowboys for years and years. Need to get my Taco jersey ASAP!!

THIS is awesome. Makes you feel really happy for the young man. Imagine the feeling.

that he didnt list Taco as a first rounder. Am I the only one who would like to fist fight Mel? I cant stand the man. I will give him credit for memorizing all the player stats but that is all he knows. Sometimes I think Gruden is about to knock off his block.
Mel Kiper is famous because he was the first one to turn his obsession with the NFL draft into a paying gig, before anyone else cared about it. He gets credit for that.
But now that the NFL draft is huge, over the last 10-15 years, he hasn't done anything that hundreds of other people haven't done, and he usually does a worse job at it.
