Michigan on NSD. He's supposedly the #1 ranked punter in the nation according to Kornblue. That fills a big area of need. Welcome to Michigan Brad!

his tape is so impressive, that PFF HS has rated him an even +0.0

Never underestimate the need of a good punter. Great pick-up.
GO BLUE!

Too soon.
Forever...too soon.

#1 punter in the nation too!!!!!!!!
February 1st, 2017 at 4:39 PM ^
I never understand why punters and kickers typically get so few stars. A good punter/place kicker's impact on field position and points when you need them is a big deal as we know too well.

MSU has to send out a less worthy punter 11 times a game!

*Insert 3-9 joke here*

But, only insert it 3-9cm.

That's what she said.

signing of the stars. . . from jail.

I heard average starting field position after Brad Robbins' punts was the 3.9 yard line.

He committed today.
CROOTIN goes our way for once, it's a punter, but I'll take it!

But we do need an OL.
February 1st, 2017 at 3:54 PM ^
But they have a couple of guys who were going to battle it out for the starting punting job like Will Hart.
My thought was always the winner would get the scholarship after this season. That still could be the case and this could be a year to year deal. But whatever, he's the #1 punter in the country and the odds on favorite to win the job and earn that scholarship.
GO BLUE!
February 1st, 2017 at 4:19 PM ^
Maybe I misunderstood what you're saying, but the coaches must really think this kid will be the guy ultimately.
February 1st, 2017 at 4:37 PM ^
I think he's suggesting that Robbins is only promised the scholarship for this upcoming year, and whoever wins the punting job will have it for the next year.
February 1st, 2017 at 4:41 PM ^
Exactly, but I'm saying that COULD be the case.
You can offer year to year scholarships or guaranteed 4-year scholarships.
But regardless, having the #1 HS punter in the country on board is a GOOD thing. That competition just got A LOT better.
February 1st, 2017 at 5:01 PM ^
This policy was enacted sometime during Hoke's tenure and is becoming NCAA standard.
February 1st, 2017 at 10:37 PM ^
It's not a policy though. It is the standard though.
But my thinking is that a year to year scholarship is like a step up from a PWO spot.
February 1st, 2017 at 3:49 PM ^
a bit of work done!!!
February 1st, 2017 at 3:50 PM ^
Got to think he got one of the vest-pocketed scholarships earmarked for Gay or Becton. Really glad to have this young man on the team (and honestly would rather have him than Becton if it's an either/or, which is no slight against Becton).
Check out his video on the Detroit News website. Robbins is a straight up athlete and a great NSD pickup.
February 1st, 2017 at 3:50 PM ^
Someone needs to revamp the way kickers are rated on the recruiting sites. Given the single individual impact they have on any game, just making them all 2-stars is kind of ridiculous, and insulting.
February 1st, 2017 at 4:23 PM ^
There are seperate sites that scout special teams recruits. For example on Kornbluekicking.com Brad is the #1 punter in the nation and a 5*
February 1st, 2017 at 8:47 PM ^
February 1st, 2017 at 3:51 PM ^
You have to be sound in the kicking game! #1 kicker last year, #1 punter this year.
February 1st, 2017 at 3:52 PM ^
Since his offer was today, who do you think the coaches were expecting/ hoping would come, but didn't?
February 1st, 2017 at 4:20 PM ^
Becton was probably who they thought they had the best shot at.

And good job punting too.
February 1st, 2017 at 3:55 PM ^
To be fair, we didn't forget the punter - Drupal did.
Indeed, Drupal forgot NSD altogether, from the look of the board now.
We won't forget you though, Brad Robbins - welcome to Michigan.
