Week 10: Best thing you saw...
That was enjoyable. Opportunities to get better against edge rushing are good. 9-0 is certainly a great thing to see too.
Elsewhere (and with Washington - Cal still ongoing and entertaining so far):
- the SEC only has one team with less than 2 losses after A&M loses their QB and the #4 slot and FLA gets Bert-ed (PAC and Big 12s also only have one team with < 2 losses with only the PAC having a playoff shot);
- Baylor gets what they deserve for trying to rally for Briles;
- and what's not to Lovie about 4th and 3 for the win in Champagne? Maybe great offensive play calling could help win lots of games rather than in an attempt to win just one.
This week, though, best thing I saw was Tommy Armstrong, Jr. returning to the Shoe after being carted off the field. Great to see him running across the field to join his teammates.
What you got?

The way he has learned to elude defenders is great. He's throwing the ball downfield very well and all of his throws for the most part look pretty good. Cant wait to see what he looks like in 2018!

TCU destroying Baylor for what was an insult to everyone for wearing those black uniforms. And also Texas A&M clearing up any doubt for the committee as to whether they deserve a spot in the playoff or not

And Steve Levy is talking about Mo Hurst's dad and a back injury he had. He said bulging dick instead of bulging disk. He didn't flinch after saying it wrong. Apparently it's legend now.

Blooper that occurred on the air back in the day. He was referring to a "bulging disk" injury but it came out as dick.

equals the combined record of Sparty, following a loss to a woeful Illini squad, and ND, who get taken down by Navy. Hard to believe - Michigan has 3 more wins than those two combined.
Screw Sparty and To Hell With Notre Dame! Life is good!!!

There's no shame. It wasn't a touchdown. He carried the ball in his outside arm, which was above his outside leg, and he straddled the pylon. The ball has to cross the goal line above or inside of the pylon to be a touchdown. It didn't. The ball was correctly spotted inside the one yard line.

Relevant text, Rule 8-2-1(a):
-
A ball carrier advancing from the field of play has possession of a live ball when it penetrates the plane of the opponent’s goal line. This plane extends beyond the pylons only for a player who touches the ground in the end zone or a pylon.
Now, if you want to argue that the ball was inside the pylon, that's your perogative, but I thoguht it was outside; I just rewatched the replays, and he clearly touched neither the ground in the end zone nor the pylon. (Kudos to Brian Griese for explaining the rule clearly on the broadcast, BTW). I think it was the right call; at best, it was disputable, so they were correct not to overturn it, and I stand by my original statement that it wasn't a "shameful" call at all.

The best thing I saw -- well, heard -- was the chanting from the Horseshoe while Tommy Armstrong was lying on the turf. Tom-my! Tom-my!, and then Tom-my Arm-strong!
I was listening to Huskers radio, and the guys in the booth were audibly moved by the gesture, which they said came from the OSU student section. I never thought I'd be saying this, but hats off to the OSU students for their show of sportsmanship.

But possibly in part motivated by the buttkicking that was ongoing at the time. I'm just being honest. If Nebraska was up 28-0 at that point, I sincerely doubt that you hear this chant.
Still, yes, it was nice to see. I'll give those mouthbreathers a little credit on this one. ;-)

As a counter to your statement, I give you Michigan State fans chanting "He's a pussy!" after a late hit on Braxton Miller in 2012.
