OT - OSU OG and former 4* recruit Demetrius Knox out for season with broken foot
Beaten out by true freshman Michael Jordan for the starting LG position, but currently listed at the first OG off the bench. Could be a relatively big loss since their coaching staff has repeated said their OL has thin depth beyond the starters.
IIRC, so far they've lost WR KJ Hill, WR Corey Smith, LB Justin Hillard and now OG Demetrius Knox. It seems like the injury bug is hitting them relatively hard in Columbus this year compared to years past.

I think you're right about that.

That's great that you have so much respect for Meyer. Why don't you give him a reach around while you're at it.
September 30th, 2016 at 12:45 PM ^
He wasn't wrong.

Acknowledging a person's aptitude at putting their team in positions to win football games and respecting said person do not have to go hand-in-hand.

No, not hand-in-hand. Reacharounds refer to something else in hand...
Never mind.
September 30th, 2016 at 12:45 PM ^
They've beat Bowling Green, Tulsa, and 1-2 Oklahoma so far.
Let's see how they do against Wisconsin before everyone starts lining up to give Meyer a handjob.

I dont care how well he does. I will not ever be in that line .

You know, all this talk about Urban getting HJs makes me think... I'll bet he is an HJ guy, instead of a BJ guy or a sex guy. HJs are a lot less personal, and require less emotional commitment. You can kind of just sit there. Hell, you can read a magazine during it. But with a BJ or sex, you have to make at least SOME noise expressing pleasure. And I'll bet Urban is too emotionally closed-off for all that. I think he is dead on the inside, and prefers to keep his emotional content to a bare minimum.
Sorry, I may have thought about this too much...

we do against Wisconsin first. I hate Meyer, but have to admit he's a hell of a coach and has been crushing it at OSU since the day he arrived. Not sure people on the board are lining up to give him a handjob, but give credit where credit is due.
September 30th, 2016 at 1:06 PM ^
I don't have to give credit where credit is due.
Is this just a Michigan fan thing? Because I sure as shit don't hear rival fans giving us any credit when it's due.
September 30th, 2016 at 1:19 PM ^
Facts are facts. The dude is 53-4, 31-1 in 5 years at OSU. If you can't give credit for that, I'm not sure who you give credit to.

I assume you mean only from the perspective of a coach that wins football games? We can all agree on that one.
As far as character, the criminals he let run around on campus at UF, messing with the coeds, using "health problems" as a crutch to get out when the going got tough (Saban), and general aura of sleeze, I don't think I can respect the entirety of the man. Even if it was all due to "mentall illness."

OSU and Bama are on a "whole different level," but it has as much to do with their prolific and generous bagmen as it does with their coaching.

Also lost their starting DT for the season. Sucks for the kid, but I feel no pity for Urbz and company.

Don't call him Urbz. Why do so many UM fans call him that?

always wondered what led Jordan to commit to OSU... from everything i saw on the twitters during his recruitment he was going to take his time with the process and then all of a sudden he commits to OSU...
September 30th, 2016 at 12:18 PM ^
... he saw the opportunity to start as a true freshman?

Have there ever been any instances, reported or hearsay, of recruiting improprieties at OSU? I honestly don't know of any, so I would like to know. Or is this just an instance of "our rival beat us therefore they must be paying the kid"?
September 30th, 2016 at 1:09 PM ^
It focused on the SEC, but it did say something to the effect of "there's one Big 10 school that recruits like the SEC". The implication being that OSU was that school.

OSU had a much longer relationship with him since it was Harbaugh's first year. Plus, there may have been a bit of pressure to commit due to limited spots and other players with committable offers.

If he had come to MIchigan, he could have met the other Micheal Jordan.

Oooooh, big mistake buddy. I'm calling the NCAA. You should be expecting a phone call from the FBI soon. Sorry I had to do this, but you're screwed.
September 30th, 2016 at 12:58 PM ^
Probably because they (unfortunately) win a lot.
September 30th, 2016 at 12:15 PM ^
An uptick in injuries this year, both in the pros and NCAA. A friend theorized it's due to the increasing violence of the sport paired with players getting bigger and stronger, and using their bodies as weapons moreso these days (he has a decade on me and claims it's gotten worse over time).
Regardless, half my fantasy starters are straight up on the IR, so that's annoying.
September 30th, 2016 at 12:19 PM ^
Your league allows that many players on the IR? I only have one spot open on mine.
September 30th, 2016 at 12:42 PM ^
The idiot(s) who runs my league didn't add an IR slot at all. So I'm stuck with 4 guys (one I can't even drop) who won't be right for 2-8 weeks. Good thing it's not for money this year.

I allow 5 in my league, but it's also a dynasty league so it makes more sense.

I haven't seen any data to support our assumptions, but I agree with you. Especially considering they used to play football on cement covered with a thin layer of carpet. My buddy thinks it's due to the fact players don't seem to have any downtime anymore. They are constantly training and conditioning.
September 30th, 2016 at 12:20 PM ^
Oh that sucks for him no it's good now we will win
