Whose jersey numbers stand out
Was reading a thread on scout talking about the #1 jersey trend and how it's better to have players create new legacies, and thinking about it,
I was surprised that I could only recall about 15 numbers, but I easily remember easily 100-200 player's names
Question, what are (or how many) player numbers come to mind when you try to match a number to a player
The list that come to mind for me:
Woodson
Howard
Edwards
Brady
Denard
Hart
Henne
Jabril
Gary
Lewan
Gardner
Whose number sticks out to you beyond these off the top of my head? (Edit This is interesting to look at... some of these I would have been way off ) http://mgoblog.com/diaries/best-michigan-player-each-jerseySeptember 19th, 2016 at 2:20 AM ^

Agreed. The OP is giving away his age. How about 98?

Not to mention Anthony Carter - the original #1, except for guys like Greg Willner - and a few TE 88s like Jim Mandich and Tony McGee.

But I think I got it.
I remebered all the numbers, even Gardner's various numbers 7, 12, 98

Whoever wears #1

It is pretty easy to remember Carter and also Edwards because "1" is an iconic number. Even if nothing ever happens with it ever again, I will always remember 98 (both Gardner and Tom Harmon, the latter which I never would have known.) Personally, I will always associate 32 with Jordan Kovacs, the best walkon ever to me. And of course Anthony Thomas. On the current team, Gary (3) and Peppers (5) already stand out. As does Butt (88). Of course, Charles Woodson (2). And I guess Leach at (7).
Grammar Nazi aside: I don't think "who's" means what you think it means. Just sayin'.

Jarrett Irons and Erik Anderson both wore the number. IIRC, Anderson wore the number first and won the Butkus award. When he graduated, Irons stepped in and wore it for four years and all he did was earn team captain for two years, two time all big ten, and consensus all american his senior year. I associate the number with Irons because I believe he is the best LB to ever wear the winged helmet.

OP, you gotta change it to "whose." It's really bugging me.
