I believe Isaiah Todd is…

I believe Isaiah Todd is taking his official there this weekend.

He is a 5 star recruit who just visited Michigan last weekend and had nothing but good things to say about the visit.

Ummm, how could you forget…

Ummm, how could you forget about the infamous Ronald Johnson?

You mentioned Wanya Morris…

You mentioned Wanya Morris. Trente Jones tweeted that he was home last night. Did he come up for an official, or did he come up with Wanya? I thought Trente already had his official, so it is a little strange for him to be visiting this weekend unless if there was another reason.

Ok, so then why do they pay…

Ok, so then why do they pay pep a million per year? Is he a consultant? If that is the case, then he can gtfo as well. You can defend pep all you want in regards to the play calling responsibility, but you can’t defend his salary.

The one thing people fail to…

The one thing people fail to realize is that the corners currently playing are not Don Brown recruits. If you look at the last couple of years when Brown has been recruiting, you’ll see that he likes, tall lanky corners. This type of player can bump and run better than a 5’11” runner. He sacrifices speed for physicality on the outside. The hill’s of the world are not what Brown wants. He wants the sims, green, etc. style corner. We won’t be able to see what he is trying to do until 2019 at the earliest.

Can someone explain to me…

Can someone explain to me what Painter was saying when he made the comment about the last 10 minutes being productive? I can’t figure out if he was being sarcastic, or if he was actually being honest.

I get it some people like to…

I get it some people like to protect officials because they believe the job is difficult. I don’t disagree the job is difficult, but there needs to be some accountability for just completely botching plays. The kicked ball is an easy call. It does not matter whether the player intentionally or unintentionally kicked it. Time should have been put back on the clock.

PI is a difficult call, so it is hard to get mad at officials for that. The same could be said for holding. The key with those calls is consistency throughout the game.

O’Neill is known around the entire Big Ten as a garbage official. It’s not just him, it’s his entire crew. Go back and look at PSU when they played OSU in 2014 or 2015. PSU got hosed by this crew numerous times to the point Franklin made a couple of comments about it. It’s not just judgement calls that O’Neill’s crew botches, it’s the clear cut calls, like the kicked ball. There are some that think his crew is in on games based on the way they call them. I tend to agree with that thought based on what I have seen from them over the years.

3rd down efficiency is a big…

3rd down efficiency is a big indicator of how successful a team is during a season. Just look at last year. The main reason for 3rd down efficiency is having a QB who can make plays.

Especially for a guy who up…

Especially for a guy who up ended David Boston in The Game. It is truly amazing how he has turned this fan base on him.

I enjoy your insight. Can…

I enjoy your insight. Can you give any more info about the attrition that occurring at this point in the season? Why would Singleton and Hudson leave now and not after the season?

I agree, 2015 and 2016 was…

I agree, 2015 and 2016 was such a long time ago...Haha. On a serious note, I think the only two times that the weather sucked was 2011 and last year.

What is up with Johnson? It…

What is up with Johnson? It is strange that he has not been able to get on the field even in mop up duty.

Rivals is the biggest…

Rivals is the biggest clickbait site out there. It seems that they spread more rumors than even Mr. Yoder over at Chat Sports. First, it was Walker was transferring after his freshmen season. Then Peters was transferring after his freshmen season. This year so far it has been Gray more than likely will not stay committed because he prefers the SEC which appears to not be true, and now Zach. They just throw poop out there, and people eat up. It’s pretty disgusting if you ask me.

But, those players were not…

But, those players were not in the game and some of that is coaching. Bryant didn’t play because a coach made a decision which is a “coaching decision”. Lawrence wasn’t in the game because he got injured. Maybe Dabo should’ve had less qb runs in his playbook knowing that he had a 3rd string qb as his backup. At the end of the day, Clemson gave up a lot of points at home and that wasn’t due to their  3rd string qb.

This is a solid take. I’d…

This is a solid take. I’d like to see more TEs down the middle especially against a defense like Northwestern’s who basically play quarters. The middle of the field is open.

Fans like you are the other…

Fans like you are the other side of the problem. Never happy with anything. If you can’t see improvement every week in this team, then you are failing to take an objective approach. Northwestern’s defense is legit. Michigan’s OL is progressing every week. The run game is coming along. The passing game was a little off today, but I think we saw why Shea can bring this team to the next step. Let’s be honest, there isn’t a team in the country who plays as well on the road as they do at home.  Look at Alabama last year. They lost to auburn and almost lost to MSU on the road. This was a good win especially if you look at quarters 2-4. Michigan dominated those quarters.

And Iowa in 2016 has…

And Iowa in 2016 has everything to do with this team in 2018. I mean it’s not like we have 22 different starters from that 2016 team. There is no way this team could be any different. For those of you who need his, here it is /s

Anyone know who this crew is…

Anyone know who this crew is? They are worse than the O’Neil crew

You said worst coach. I’d…

You said worst coach. I’d say the second worst coach is dogshit as well. I doubt he is the worst coach. There does that help you understand why your original statement was inaccurate?

Any reason why Vilain is not…

Any reason why Vilain is not on that list? Is he not injured now and can play?

I’m beginning to think that…

I’m beginning to think that the plan was for Aubrey to start at DT, and he was going to be a stud, however, he got sick before the first game and then injured. I think the defense is scrambling when it comes to DTs. Hopefully Aubrey is back soon.

Not the entire game. In fact…

Not the entire game. In fact, the freshmen came in in the second half. Probably no tape on him.

So when Gary mentions that…

So when Gary mentions that Paye had 5 sacks in one practice, how should I view this?

     A) oh no, our OTs are struggling

     B) Paye is developing nicely

Jarrett Irons? I thought he was a top recruit? Also, he was probably Michigan’s most dominate inside LB during the 90s.
Why Doesn't Walker Get More Chances Any specific reason why Walker doesn't get more chances? He had 1 carry for 8 yards, yet the staff continues to run Evans who got 5 yards on a day when the line blocked well. They need to use Evans on jet sweeps and give Walker 5-8 touches.
Google Chris Hinton and John Elway There was a good 30 for 30 that talks about how Hinton and Elway are tied together.
I know this is a scenario I know this is a scenario where I am going to be mocked for saying something to the effect of " I know this guy who knows a guy". However, I'm man enough to take it, so here it goes. A buddy of mine was sitting next to me while watching the game. He said that he went to high school with that official from Michigan. I asked while watching the game whether that official was a MSU fan, and my buddy said yes. I am not saying this guy was intentionally calling the game against Michigan. I only put this here because some of you thought that the guy was a Michigan supporter based in his Facebook page.
Beilien has turned over a new Beilien has turned over a new leaf. In years past, it always appeared that a player who was more offensively gifted would get more playing time than a player who provided more of a defensive presence. Inserting wilson into the lineup is a big step. Good to see that an old dog can learn new tricks.
Jeremy Clark? And to be even more technical, I think Mone was out a few games due to a knee. Not saying that S&C is the reason, but since you asked I felt the knee to give you accurate info.
Blitz pickup issue?

Is Cole to blame for some of these issues? The center usually makes line calls, and he is now responsible for these calls. Some of these missed blitzed pickups look like mistakes that true freshmen and redshirt freshmen make, so I am wondering if there is a communication issue somewhere.

37

Jarrett Irons and Erik Anderson both wore the number.  IIRC, Anderson wore the number first and won the Butkus award. When he graduated, Irons stepped in and wore it for four years and all he did was earn team captain for two years, two time all big ten, and consensus all american his senior year. I associate the number with Irons because I believe he is the best LB to ever wear the winged helmet.

Funny, I took three surveys Funny, I took three surveys and came up as Liverpool being there team I should pull for.
New Fan So Go Easy I enjoy watching soccer, but have only focused on the USMNT. I've decided to try the EPL league, but not sure how to pick a team to follow. Unlike American sports where you either live in the state of that team, attended the university, or some other connection, the EPL is different. How did many of you decide which team to follow? I'm thinking of picking a team that has anUSMNT member who contributes a lot. Any advice on who I should follow is welcomed.
Only bad thing about the 97

Only bad thing about the 97 team was that Irons graduated a year prior. I consider him to the be the best LB that has wore the Winged helmet.

Ignore Lawrence Marshall?

Per Sam Webb and some other sources, I am not sure you can ingore Lawrence Marshall. Webb stated that he thought Marshall was in the two deep at SE. As much as Brown likes pass rushers, I think and hope Marshall plays more than Godin.

UA Practice Evaluation Does Not Add Up

Per sites such as Rivals and 247, Walker did not have a good week of practice at the UA Game, and supposedly Miles Sanders was having a better week.  However, when the game started, guess who started at RB, Kareem Walker.  Apparently the coaches for Team Armour must have thought Walker was having a solid week. Also, everyone seemed to be bashing Walker for his performance during the game. I did not see Sanders do anything that made me think that Walker was the lessor of the two.

The recruiting sites acted really strange with Walker's ranking.

Jarrett Irons Really appreciate all the content WH has put together. Does anyone know if he has done a tribute for Jarrett Irons? The guy is one of the best if not the best LB to ever put the winged helmet on.
Edits are taking forever

They must have cut a ton of the grunt workers. Their recruiting database has not worked properly for the past couple of days. I assume it is due the updated player rankings and not enough minions to update the database in a timely manner.

I have to disagree with

I have to disagree with Chatman only getting 5 minutes next year. He is one of the few guys that improved this season. He started getting more minutes towards the second half of the season, and his shot started falling a little more. I doubt he will ever be the player that the rankings had him perceived to be in high school, but I would not be surprised if he took more of Dawkins minutes. At least Chatman plays some defense.

Dawkins appears to have no clue what it means to play tough defense. If Dawkins was on a coach's team that focused more on defense, he would never see the floor.

ESPN has Asiasi listed as

ESPN has Asiasi listed as 6'5" 275 lbs. Can anyone confirm that he is that big?

Thank you for taking the time Thank you for taking the time to write this piece. The one sport I wish there was more coverage is baseball. I look forward to following this team this year.
I'm not accusing anyone of

I'm not accusing anyone of anything without all of the facts. One interesting facet that I noticed is some of the big national recruiting analyst for 247 (Wiltfong and Lorenz) have already predicted that the kid is going to Northwestern.  Since those guys usually wait until they have real solid information, it is not unreasonable to believe that they are right. This is great news for the kid because Northwestern is not a bad second choice academically or athletically.

It does seem strange that the kid is already leaning towards Northwestern after just hearing from the Michigan coaches a week ago. I am not him, but if it was me I would want to use up as much time as I have and take a couple of visits before I decided what plan B was for me.  I am not saying he has committed to Northwestern, but it seems like a strong possibility.

This could be evidence that the kid was on notice prior to last week that he may not be a part of the Michigan class, or maybe the kid did a good job of preparing for the worse.

I thought I saw a report from I thought I saw a report from one of Walker's coaches that he and the PSU RB were standing out on day 2. Also, the report said that RBs are hard to get a good read on until the actual game. I think this was a TVH tweet fwiw.
It is amazing to think that

It is amazing to think that even though the 2014 class was much smaller than the 2013 class, it will probably have more successful players at a higher rate.

Obviously Peppers is better than anyone from 2013 at his position, but there are some other guys that are looking special.  Mone may have been a starter this year, and will probably end up being as good if not better at his position than anyone from 2013. Cole has started two years, and has already surpassed all 2013 OL. Harris and Ways have jumped all WRs in the 2013 class in regards to playing time.

As underwhelming as the 2013 class has been up until now, the 2014 class has been pretty solid.

Good for him Anyone know what happened to him in the NFL? I could not find anything after a quick Google search. I am just curious if his career was cut short by injury.
Excellent Point Striking gold with a Lavert does not happen often. Also, not focusing on getting a solid 5 man after McGary has killed this team
Where is the talent? Besides Caris (I'm still skeptical he is a lottery pick), where is the talent? Irvin shows spurts of talent. Other than him, who else is talented? **supposed to be for post below
Love the work you do I really appreciate the work you put into these videos. If you take request, I would like to see one of these for Jarrett Irons.
I believe the guys we lose to I believe the guys we lose to graduation on offense are Glasgow on the OL, Rudock, and Williams. On defense we lose ojemudia, Ross, RJS, Morgan, Bolden, and wilson. Many of the other guys you listed are RS JRs.
Added a win to each record It looks like he just added a win to every team's win total from last year. Pretty lazy reporting if that is the case.
