Our UPCOMING opponent: Colorado vs. Colorado St. Open thread
Um....for as bad as Colordo was last year, they're dominating CSU right now, 24-0 with 9 minutes left in the first half. CSU was the better team last year, with a better record, but Colorado is stomping them pretty handily. When we play them, it may not be the cake walk we're all expecting.
[Edit: messed up the schedule, cuz overloaded on brain stuff]

Instead of watching various football games on BTN or ESPN right now, everyone should be watching a loop of last Friday's replay. :-)

We play UCF next Saturday.....

In the future we should just have one college football open thread instead of 2-3 different threads for different games.

Absolutely true, but at the same time WMU is a step above Furman and it's how MSU is losing. Their defense is getting called for PIs against vastly inferior WRs, they have fumbled and missed a FG, and basically have 2 good drives all game. They aren't this bad, but this is definitely a team with issues at a number of places.

I know they're breaking in a new quarterback but I have not been impressed by their offense. I would think that they would simply run it down Furman's throat but no, they've been struggling to get any traction. Their defense is keeping them in it. A better team would have them down a couple scores now. We'll see how they are when they play Notre Dame

Agreed. MSU OL isn't getting any push. O Connor has had a couple of good throws but is getting pressured a ton and has thrown some bad passes as well.

State seems to do this every year so I don't want to get my hopes up, but O'Connor isn't exactly a new QB. He is a 5th year senior and has already played quite a bit, including a start at OSU. So far they are looking pretty bad.

And as I say that, MSU puts together a good little drive.

That'll make the top 10 easily

As a reminder, starting tomorrow, the "Noon Games", "Afternoon Games" and "Evening Games" thread will start getting enforced. Threads about individual games will require some justification, such as something significant happening or whatnot.
This thread can definitely stay - it's relevant to Michigan because we play Colorado. This is merely a heads up.

Also, it's not like CSU is Furman or anything.

Agree with the comments about Colorado. CSU is CSU, which isn't great but still isn't terrible. Doesn't really matter. 31-0 is what a good team will do to a bad team in a full game, much less a half. Colorado could very well be a tough game.

They will probably win that game by over 50 points so they will come into the Big House with lots of confidence.
