Gerry Dinardo says Michigan can go undefeated

BTN Cp Tour #Wolverines I wasn't expecting 2 say this but they have enough talent 2 win all games.I thought they were over rated they're not

not merely any given team. Every game could go to so many OTs that they're ruled ties. Rutger's chance of going undefeated is roughly the same as that. We don't say things like that can happen unless we're trying to prove some silly point.

If DiNardo wants to hype Michigan, that's fine. But he was much more interesting when he was eating unpeeled fruit. He should go back to eating unpeeled fruit.

As to why people may feel we are overrated. We return nearly everyone off of one of the best defenses in the country and add the nations best recruit and two starters on the D-line who missed significant time with injury. The only group we lost was our linebackers who were underwhelming anyway. We return every skill position on offense, including an all-american candidate at receiver and tight end, and add a QB who was all conferene his froshman year and our sched is piss easy for the first 7 games of the year. This is coming off a 10-3 year which could've easily been 10-1 if we got a few breaks our way.

We are generally being ranked from 5-10 in the nation by most publications. What exactly is overrated about this team?

If we dont suffer the injuries we did along the defensive line I sincerely doubt those teams are able to run on us like they did and our defensive line this year will be monsterous.

I know, woulda coulda shoulda but we have to remember Staee made to the CFP last year. I think we will need a little less luck than they did to replicate

Everyone has injuries, and we did not have an extraordinary amount. Also, Minnesota was before Glasgow was out (he was hurt in the Rutgers game), so what you're saying only would apply to Indiana anyways.

Of those 4 games MSU was obviously the closest, but Utah was the least close. That Utah game really was fairly uncompetitive. Especially compared to our MSU, Minnesota and Indiana games.

Again though, I believe the hype for this year, but not because I think we were elite last year as you seem to think. We were not elite in 2015. We played three top 20 teams and lost to all of them. That's not elite.

I think we will improve with another season of coaching, maturity, losing relatively few pieces and an easy first month of the schedule to ease in. Thus we will likely be elite in 2016.

Because it has been 10 years since Michigan went into November actually in the thick of the national title race. I think some fans have had enough of September Heismans and fading in late October and November. I am tired of hearing endless hype about how "Michigan is finally back." I have been burned too many times.

While I thoroughly enjoy watching the BTN preview because I can't wait for football to start and am deprived of football, I take everything they say with a grain of salt. It seems they always are very positive and bullish on teams. I would enjoy the show a lot more if it wasn't just a glorified Media day, and was instead actual analysis of the teams from what they see. It is hard to get excited about what they say when they say pretty much (with a few exceptions) only positive things about all the b10 teams.
