Definitely great to hear that on TV. Go Blue!

As much as I support the Canadians (local to me) comments like that increase my looking forward to the UConn game.

I'd think even competing in the Olympics would be better than watching a football game from the stands. But hey, some people are crazy.

Notice he only said "a Michigan football game". Presumably, a win, a winning season, B10 title, and a NC would all still be ahead of a gold medal. His priorities are in place for the most part.

On the Today Show this morning, Matt asked him if the medal would be topped by a Michigan Nat'l Championship. Charlie paused a moment, pondered, then said maybe that plus a Final Four appearance...

But who proofreads the subject clause?

I'll take every bit of good media publicity we can get. Go Blue!

Every time Tom Hammond says Charlie White, I just keep hearing Charlie Weis.

Emily Samuelson & Evan Bates were also introduced as UofM sophomores. The commentator(s) managed to sneak in a mention of the U or Ann Arbor in the intros of each performance of both teams through the three nights of competition. (In case some of you guys were watching hockey last night.) Nice to get those shots of the campus with a blatant Block M. Nice too that both teams skated terrifically.
[Hmm... Charlies Weis in stretch pants?]

I will not take one thing away from the Canadian gold medalists... they absolutely deserved it. But Charlie and Meryl were absolutely brilliant. Their artistry, chemistry (both between themselves and with the audience), their choice of music and choreography thereof.... it left me in tears. What a joy to watch. They definitely have "it"... whatever it actually is.
Talk about representin'! CONGRATS!

After I saw that interview I told my wife I was rooting for them based just on that comment. She laughed but it was awesome to hear him plug UofM football like that, it is clear that he is all in.

Later when asked about how he would've felt if Davis and himself would have to settle for the Bronze medal, White commented, "Probably a little like being stuck as a student at Ohio State, glad I don't have to know that feeling. Go Blue!"

Did he really say that? That's awesome

Those who stay will win Olympic medals.
Wait, is that right?

I don't claim to understand Ice Dancing one bit, but if they're from Michigan, you can bet I was rooting them on.
GO BLUE and Congrats.
