Attn: All Tennessee Wolverines; UM License Plate
Myself along with our fellow Nashville-based Wolverines are petitioning the State of TN to have its very own "University of Michigan - Go Blue" license plate. This is being developed with help from the UM Alumni Association and the TN State Legislature.
The plates will be $35 and proceeds will help TN based non-profits. We have a goal of 520 signatures.
- If you are a TN resident (looking at you Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville alumni clubs) use this link to sign up.
Important: The individual that gets the most referrals for this campaign receives a pair of tickets to the Wisconsin game. Please put the name of your referral as "DONATE TO MOTT".
Help me further infiltrate the SEC and get a child at Mott to experience a game!
This would be the ultimate troll. I like it.
Possible vanity options: 107601; WOODSON; 4SBS>2; HEISMAN97 (too long?); DEBORED.
....or how about:
HARBAUGH
Car would be keyed or worse within 15 minutes if on the street!
(Still worth it.)
Well, it definitely works in Tennessee. I have seen UF plates, Indiana plates, Auburn plates, etc. There's no reason why Michigan shouldn't have one!
Maybe someone in a MN group can look into the process of getting a custom decal M plate option.
I'd get one.
There is a UM Memphis Spirit Club? I thought I was all alone down here.
I'm here.
Memphis here too, by way of Auburn Hills.
I'm definitely in for a Mich plate!
Got a Scholarship for my freshmen year at UM from the spirit club here in Memphis.
Nashville chapter! This is awesome thanks for posting. Filling out the form right now. Happy to have a way to infuriate an SEC motorist on the road or in the parking lot! Go Blue!
Yes! Awesome! Don't forget to put Donate to Mott in the referral field!
for the Robert Johnson pic.
This state is extremely uncreative when it comes to custom plates. There's 3 designs to choose from and if you get a school plate, the logo is on this boring plate.

The green and blue plate that was introduced after I left is wonderful, and my second favorite plate of any state's behind the old Nebraska sunset plates that were inexplicably scrapped.
Look at Texas-
And this is the one we get. In the STATE OF MICHIGAN!!
BORING!
Drove through Alabama a few times going to Florida before and I wish we could have something like this-
In my opinion, I prefer the clean white of the Michigan plate to the blue on the Texas plate. But, that's just me.
Agree. I like the clean look of the Michigan plate.
I made this because I'm bored.
I've only seen UT, Bama, and UF plates so far down here. Would love to be able to get an Michigan plate. My wife and I both filled one out.
They've had these plates in NJ for a few decades
NEW JERSEY U-M LICENSE PLATES
Show your Michigan pride by purchasing a pair of U-M New Jersey license plates! There is no annual charge (other than your annual registration fee), and these plates are valid for leased vehicles. The current cost of the license plates is $100 per set, half of which will be contributed to the Scholarship Fund of the U of M Club of Northern New Jersey. Also, for an additional $100, you can order a set of personalized plates that include your choice of select combinations of numbers and letters up to 5 characters.
I am shocked that we've not heard of a few instances of The Order Of Bull's Blood swiping Michigan license plates in New Jersey or worse, trying to turn any "M" into an "R" with a red Sharpie. They've already begun to send skirmishing forces into parking lots, if Twitter is any indication.
