A video from an Ann Arbor Uber driver getting berated by a college-aged person made the front page of Reddit this morning.

this guy knew what he was doing and he didn't care. This will come back to him this morning.
There's good and bad in every crowd. Not a proud day for MIchigan. As an alum, I saw this in school, I see this in life.
Thank the cameras for callling this out. That is the right response.
Good, now everyone knows. And while I generally dislike advocating violence, I hope one day soon he pulls this routine with someone who smacks the shit out of him and his friends. I know I would...
Maybe he'll do it to Jeffery Simmons.
This dude will wind up in the hoppital and Simmons will wind up in jail.
Justice will be served.

Apparently, the uber drive has been known to say antisemitic things. Possibly that is what set the young man off and if so, they are both in the wrong.
This has been all over Facebook and that was said in the comments. Could be totally untrue, but you do need both sides.
certainly it mellows my opinion.

For those that want the video without the comments on Reddit.
Don't play this with the kids around. It's incredibly disturbing on many levels in so many unfunny ways.

Douche bags are everywhere man, and they have been in exisitence way before jersey shore.
Did you go to Michigan? There have been east coast guys like this at Michigan for ages. The parking lot of my apartment building when I went there was filled with plates from New York and New Jersey. And some were just as entitled and jackassy as this guy.
In fact, I think I remember reading somewhere that close to 10% of the student body is from NY or NJ. So this is not a new Rutgers phenomenon.
Ya, I myself was severely disappointed to find so many of these douchebags in my classes (2013).
And the ridiculously expensive out-of-state tuition costs--that only these losers can afford--guarantees these entitled, arrogant pricks are overly represented.
Ugh, my rage days are coming back to me!!! I gotta go calm-down by looking at my Harbaugh-shrine and Charles Woodson jersey....
lol, does your shrine have a map to New Jersey on it, because that's where Harbaugh has done a lot of his heavy recruiting.
is definitely gonna be full of jersey shore brah's if harbaugh can get his way.
you don't see the jabrill peppers of the world on reality tv shows.

Uggg...
In the early 1990's the fashion for the Jersey/NY douchebags was to constantly bitch about how much they hated Michigan, how parochial Ann Arbor was, how you couldn't get a good bagel, etc., etc.
They basically made it as obvious as possible that they "settled" for Michigan and didn't really want to be in this crap hole backwards state.

I work every holiday at a IT Help Desk. No people can't keep it civil, even for the holidays. Been called numerous slurs today already.
March 27th, 2016 at 11:20 AM ^
It is because some people can't seperate te religious aspects of it from one of the few guarantee off days for most of the entire country. Whether your christian or not, it is a hell of a day to spend with family
I also get Easter Eve off. Every year. Holidays are great!!

I put up the Easter thread. Tried to be very polite. Never mentioned the name of Jesus, or the crucifixion, or the resurrection. But yeah, smh, not surprised it was deleted. There are a couple of mods that let the "power" go their head. Whatever. It is pointless to complain about thread collapse or about points. After all, does anyone find whining to be attractive?

I wasn't the mod to take your thread down, but LSA was quite vocal and public with his thought process on Twitter (not demanding you follow that platform, just FYI).
As a non-Christian that has sided with you in the past I hope you at least understand where the mods are coming from dealing with numerous comments not suited for the site.

The only thing worse than what he said was if he would have pulled out the Jerk Store line.
Class warfare. Very east-coast.

it's not coming down there. It's discussed here as it pertains to Michigan and media itself.
March 27th, 2016 at 10:27 AM ^
I wouldn't use reddit as the barometer of what is suitable for discussion. There are whole subdomains filled with threads about people popping zits on their back that have thousands of comments.
There is no discussion going on here. The kid is an asshole who screamed homophobic slurs, amongst other things, at a guy in a car. Nothing about this will lead to a fruitful discussion beyond the "devil's advocates" who are just trolling for controversy.
You want to comment on this? Go to Reddit and do it.

if you can't take the thread don't cllick on it.
Have a good day.

I can "take" the thread; I just think it's unnecessary and dumb. But clearly people around here like to post about it, for whatever reason, so by all means enjoy it.
