Michigan Stadium hosting Chelsea vs. Real Madrid
Guess its not a done deal yet but word around the internet says the Big House is going to host another ICC tournament game this summer. This time Real Madrid vs Chelsea

At least Mourinho won't be there
I don't get it.
Someone didn't make it to the etc. section of the most recent Unverified Voracity... Although, Brian doesn't give the same link, just links to a tweet.

I got the joke.
Interesting to see what Chelsea does this summer. Although as a Tottenham fan I wholly support their whole, "spend money with no real clear idea of what we're doing with it" plan.

I think it would be funny to announce "Chelsea vs Milan" and then have the two high schools play in front of a confused and angry crowd.
The last game was fun--I look forward to this one also.
Anyway, I am sure the Big House will sell out again for this one.
With both the Copa America and European Cup taking place this summer I'm guessing most of the big name players won't be participating in too many of the friendlies in the US this summer. They'll be concentrating on playing for their country in these tournaments.

the exorbinant ticket prices for these ICC matches... I am all for growing the game here in the states, and perhaps bringing european teams and stars into town for a friendly is the best way to continue to do that, but it's not like you're going to see Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale going toe to toe with John Terry/Azpilicueta/Ivanovich for 90 minutes...
Perhaps these guys continuing to come into town, however, may start to make the case for a return to a grass playing surface... the width of the big house playing surface will always be suboptimal for footy (unless they elevated it as was discussed back in '94 for the WC), but I'd love to get the natural field back.
speaking of growing the game locally, it would really be great if they could get a Detroit City FC vs. the Men's Varsity squad or something along those lines as an opener too...
Could be a hell of an entertainment week!
Per their media release, the game would be at 3:00 PM. Here's hoping it actually happens.
Go Blues.
I'm not sure this will sellout like the previous game. Chelsea doesn't even come close to having as many fans as Man United and Real Madrid already played here. They should have gone with Barcelona vs Liverpool.

They will be seated beside Richard and Hyacinth Bucket.
Harbaugh needs to at least ref this match....
wearing Chelsea Bulldogs gear.
They'll also wonder if there is a Faux Madrid.
This is going to be a one sided curb stomping and God will I enjoy it. Chav$ki have had this coming for some time, I only wish I could see them relegated again.
How much more this time?
