OT- It's National Pancake Day
In honor of National Pancake day we can all share where we had our best hotcakes at. Whether that be a chain restaurant, greasy spoon or anyone else. For me it's a tie between the pancakes from scratch my grandma used to make and the ones from the Original House of Pancakes..... Mmmmmmm! Pancakes!
They do have some good ones.
BRO!!!
I got tired of waiting for National Crepe Day.
Naturally.

Reminds me of my co worker who leaves her birthday balloons in her cubicle for so long people think it is her birthday again.
And the bacon isn't bad either!
Some bacon and two Christmas hams! Yum!

Pancakes suck. Crepes are better. And waffles are the best (especially banana and chocolate chip)
Announcer: I've just been handed a special message from the national pancake institute."
[after opening the envelop he reads the enclosed note]: "Waffles suck."
Any of the baked pancakes at Pancake Pantry / The Pantry on Van Dyke south of 14 Mi Rd. Apple pancake with extra glaze FTW.
wife and daughters cook wonderfully. blueberry chocolate chip pancakes, made with wheat we grow at the farm, and covered with homemade maple syrup, but only after we have slathered on the butter.
+1 to robf, as per usual.

It is definitely different, but apparently people have tried to make pancakes in rice cookers - here's a sample from (not surprisingly) pinterestfail.com :
Well that just looks tasty.
On Waikiki just across the street from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. If you must stay on Waikiki (an over-crowded touristy trap where tourists are funneled), then you must have breakfast at this shack. Just a plain diner, not fancy, but the pancakes and coffee are outstanding! I also recommend the coconut syrup, but will admit it's not for everyone...
The Original Pancake House in Southfield on 10 mile near Evergreen and has the best pancakes! I love their 49'ers!
You will not be disappointed!
I've gone there for over 30 years, even to their location in Northern Virginia. I've never had anything other than the Big Apple or an omelette (highly underrated IMO).
I heart Big Apple
Can't beat Grandma's pancakes. I could eat LITERALLY (figuratively) one million of them.
Your grandma's pancakes suck compared to Waffle House!
In terms of pancake quality I strongly disagree. In terms of entertainment from watching drunks get into 3AM parking lot fights, however, the Waffle House is orders of magnitude better than my Grandma's house.
One of my weekend favorite breakfast spots, they have some of the best pancakes in LA.

My grandad had his own sourdough culture basically foever.
Blueberry ancakes and hot link sausage. The best I've ever had.
Its a great childhood memory. He used to drive miles at 6 am to pick up the sausage from a specialist.
I have a great recipe that I've embellished over the years. The secret is browning the butter. You almost don't need maple syrup, just some powdered sugar.
Hi mom, can you cook me some breakfast whenever you get a chance? K thanks.
