OT: Joey Bosa Shows Some Buckeye Class on Twitter
Joey Bosa picked a really good time - the NFL Combine - to show that he can't take any criticism on Twitter. He told his critics that "I'll be retired when I'm 35 and you'll be slaving away to pay back student loan debt."
I'm sure that all his fans who are slaving away to pay back student loan dept are reassured to know that Joey Bosa will constantly remind them that he's a superior human being.
Then, for some reason, he Tweeted a picture of his dinner.

He may be right
is not a remote possibility. It's sadly pretty common.
This is a young man who doesn't seem to know a lot about the potential negative outcomes of his chosen career. Rich, retired and in perfect health at 35 is possible, but I'd say it's quite unlikely. Physically damaged for life, out of the league and broke at 30 is also possible, and probably more likely. Broke and both physically and mentally significantly impaired at 45 is also quite possible. Buckeye or not, he needs to learn a bit more about what his future may be like, IMO...
Typically, people who speak/display the world-view that he is communicating right now come from a place of privilege, entitlement, and preferential treatment.
That usually doesn't happen in the tough, humbling sports such as football (or hockey, rugby, judo, etc).
Oh, wait, that's right, Urbin Myer.....
Also, the joke's on Bosa.
If you find your passion (not necessarily static/fixed), then you get enjoy a potentially 40-50 year path to mastery, skill, stimulation, enlightenment, and learning.
You'll read over and over again in sports psych, athletes always say the career is so short, it's here and gone before you know it, enjoy it while it lasts, because you've got a lot of life ahead of you after this.
he'll be pissing his pants and forgetting his name at 45.
Sure, yeah, but since he's a Buckeye that would be the case if he decided to stop playing football now...
I'm perfectly fine if he's out of the league at 25.
I like cats and dogs.
I downvoted you, but only because I don't know what this means...
You're too old.
Early 2000s Nickelodeon from the Amanda Show. Way before she went crazy.
Dammit! If it was after my first was born (2003), I may have known, as I had to watch 8 trillion episodes of iCarly at some point in there...
So true...
I love horses.
Shit. That kid is clearly the top recruit of the 2026 class. The SEC screams for the death penalty
Typical Ohio State Players
I'd rather he go to San Fran. The only fate worse than the Browns at the moment
Yeah but he'd get to live in the bay. you go to the browns you get to live in cleveland.
Rockets are cool....
THIS IS GOING TO BE SO AWESOME.....
For this ending...
will remember their names at age 45.
Retired by 35...
Bankrupt by 37...

Joey Bosa can update us on how William Gholston is doing in the NFL.

seriously,
who cares?

No doubt Bosa's good, but we've known since his recruitment that the douche is strong with him.
Weird. You'd think a twenty-year-old who still calls himself "Joey" would be more mature.

...and then the CTE combined with the emptiness of no longer playing the game he was passionate about his entire live will drive him into a deep depression.
just kidding.
right?
