Miami Herald: Sources say Devin Bush Sr to join Michigan
A move that we have all been expecting for a while, there hadn't been much said about the current status until now. This from the Miami Herald:
Multiple sources have told the Miami Herald on Tuesday that Flanagan coach Devin Bush is on the verge of joining the staff at Michigan where three of his Falcons -- son and linebacker Devin Bush Jr. and safeties Devin Gil and Josh Metellus -- have signed. Bush Jr. has already enrolled at Michigan for the spring semester.
Another interesting tidbit:
One source said an announcement is expected sometime next week. Both sources said defensive coordinator Stanford Samuels would become Flanagan's next head coach.

You are.

FYI, I really did not mean this as a "bring politics to the board" thing, just a funny quip. And regardless of your party, with his level of institutional support and how much he has spent, thinks aren't looking good for Jeb with only a 4th place finish in NH.
But really, did NOT mean this to be political, I am sorry to those offended, and I shall shut up now...

I'm surprised it didn't cost twice that much. He really should just change it.

I quickly read your original comment and thought you were talking about a different kind of Bush. I'm in a NSFW state of mind.

Yeah. Shady to hire a former NFL player and Super Bowl winner who just won a state championship in the hardest division of one of the most talent-rich states in the U.S., AFTER his son has already come to Michigan. So fucking shady.
February 10th, 2016 at 12:29 PM ^
I think the part where he's clearly qualified means it's not shady, but the timing is still well within the suspicious timeframe if the former were not true. Michigan has also a bit of a pattern of doing this, so I can see why some people get a little queasy about it. The first point is the key though, if the candidate is qualified, I think it's kosher, even if it means they got the job over equally qualified people.

"Team Mom" Gwen Bush?
Negligibly impactful grad transfer and not a top-flight recruit, yes, but still...

Her desire to have a job does not compel Harbaugh to give her one at the tune of six figures... It's weird any way you cut it.
EDIT: to the tune of exactly $106,000, apparently. To be the "team mom."
I don't get it.
February 10th, 2016 at 2:42 PM ^
but I guess Harbaugh wears that hat.
Maybe I can be Team Creepy Uncle?

We've hired one other parent, and a couple other HS coaches that could be viewed as recruiting driven. Like I said, all seem qualified, so there's not much to gripe about, IMO.
