Snowflakes: Announcing
My girlfriend overcooked for friends giving and was adding unnecessary stress to the room but I put on a playlist and powered thru with my own mental commentary. Anyone else has enough of Brock and Wischusen (sp?)?

Which recruits are announcing?
November 21st, 2015 at 6:25 PM ^
That's for damn sure.

My default is muting the TV unless the announcers prove they are reasonably unbiased.
November 21st, 2015 at 5:00 PM ^
Hopefully not in that order?
November 21st, 2015 at 6:18 PM ^
Sometimes the announcers make it easy, when they bring up The Play That Shall Not Be Named for no apparent reason in the first five seconds of the telecast.

I'm fairly certain he was aware of this. And he feels Millen is a worse choice than these two Michigan hating ass clowns.

... but at least he acknowledges that this team never loses its head and heart, which is a result of one thing: coaching.
The lack of comment about the "block below the waist" was almost comical.

Still no clue what that has to do with throwing a good pass in football. Thanks Brock!

I hate to say it, because his love for and depth with the program is obvious, but Branstatter is not good at play-by-play. I listened to the radio broadcast last week and he seriously got calls wrong on like 20% of the pays (maybe more?). It was painful, kind of Hokeian.
But whatever, GO BLUE!!!

Agree. Almost impossible to listen to him call a game and not be irritated. He interrupts Dierdorf too often, and he's not good at quickly summarizing the results of a play. Too much talking about other things, and not enough telling me the yards and down.
November 21st, 2015 at 4:45 PM ^
Was listening on the radio last Saturday while doing yardwork, and turned to my dad after 3 plays and said, "This guys sucks". Then I kind of felt bad about because I realized it was Branstatter.

Peter, your dad's...not with us. Is everything ok?

Could we maybe put Hoke in the booth for a game before we call somebody else's announcing "Hokeian"?
I actually think he could be pretty good at the job. Color, I mean, not play-by-play.

Could have been worst, we could have the crew from the Iowa game. That lady from espn.

I think I've gotten used to bad announcing and just ignore it.
The only time I realy get fired up is when they give their opinions on certain penalty calls and I pretty much argue at the TV screen that they are wrong 90 percent of the time.
I'm kind of a crazy person.

Mark my words: Brock Huard will be a BTN analyst within the next 5 years.
November 21st, 2015 at 4:28 PM ^
I just don't understand what Huard's problem is. He is so obviously biased against Michigan, it's ridiculous. At least this week he didn't start fellating the PSU players after they lost.

Huard either really loves underdogs, or he really hates Michigan.

If these two guys never called a game for Michigan again.
November 21st, 2015 at 4:34 PM ^
annoying
November 21st, 2015 at 4:36 PM ^
The most baffling to me was why Huard was so sure the holding call on Henry was legit. Would have liked to see some more replays to back that up.

Brock Huard did Michigan a huge service when at the end of the game he basically declared Franklin and the Penn State coaching staff sub-standard.
It is not often that commentators do that, so it means a lot.
He did not hide the fact the he believes that Franklin and staff area are not able to develop Hackenberg and that they are a big step down from O'Brien and his staff.
That sort of thing is really damaging to Penn State's recruiting, and Penn State is in the Big Ten East, so that helps Michigan a lot.
I mean in addition to slamming Franklin's clock managment (obvious even if not mentioned), he basically went on about how Hackenberg should turn pro even though he won't be drafted until later rounds because he will not develop under Franklin with another year at PSU.
For Michigan that it pure gold.

You may be right. I feel a little better about listening to him complain about every Franklin decision in that game.
November 21st, 2015 at 6:01 PM ^
But even when he was saying Franklin was doing a terrible job coaching, he sounded like a bitter PSU fan.

Quote of the day after the plethora of penalties....
We knock Hackenburg down....
"Watch out now guys, don't hit him too hard!!!!"
