Serious question.

Any chance we can hire refs from another conference for The Game? They've been horrible all year, it feels slanted against us but I think this is incompetence instead of a vendetta.

When you roll a 7, you get to move the robber, which blocks resource production on its hex, and rob one resource from another player. The random number generator on this particular website would regularly give me two, maybe three sevens a game. The other two players? Maybe 10 or 12 between them.

I might have let it slide but for it happening over and over and OVER. At some point, the pattern of one-sided deep dicking is incontrovertible.

Sadly, Harbaugh can't ragequit to get away from reffing incompetence.

It honestly seems that outside of "legit" calls, the questionable calls are going against Michigan 9 out of 10 times this year. I really hate stopping the game a lot for replays, but what other avenue is there other than let the refs keep destroying games and just issuing apologies the next day? The games are still fucked. It's not even really a band-aid fix.

As much as I hate to think the 2nd best tier of professionals in the country let grudges play out in their job, it seems that is the case and Harbaugh isn't well liked around the league. Maybe it's rooted in a jealousy of knowing deep down that Harbaugh knows the rules better than they do and they can't allow themselves to admit that.

I lost my voice due to these refs. Seriously have no idea how you can be so inconsistent and call things so one-sided. My wife says Harbaugh is always yelling when I'm yelling.

I hate seeing any player ejected for targetting because I tend to err on the players' side on all things and it's hard for me to attribute premeditated assault on super-athletic 19 year olds running at full speed.  But if targeting is targeting is targeting, Anthony Zettel (who I'm sure is a really nice kid IRL) LEFT HIS FEET to vertically spear Rudock helmet to helmet.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU NOT CALL THAT?

Oh right, it happened to us.  The referees can line up an slurp on my salty yellow taint.

Can someone create a targeting mashup starting with Joe Bolden on Connor Cook and then the half dozen times Rudock has been hit in the helmet since?

I don't know why, but I see next week's game hinging on who for Michigan gets thrown out of the game early for targeting on a play where he doesn't get a finger on the QB, and the Ohio players repeatedly launching themselves like missiles  into Rudock with any errant flags picked up off the turf with all apologies.

This one on the game winning TD reception  by UNC over VT.

Down three in OT, UNC throws a pass to the sideline in the endzone that is very reasonably called a TD on the field as the UNC receiver hangs onto the ball after hitting the ground out-of-bounds in the endzone.

But then it goes to the replay booth.  It clearly shows the UNC player bobbling the ball until he hits the ground OUT OF BOUNDS.  INCOMPLETE!  But the replay booth makes a hasty call stands ruling.

Better replay officials are clearly needed.

For as many calls as the replay booth gets wrong, I'd just assume they drop replay altogether. Replay officials are more interested in covering for their on field brethren than they are in getting the call right. Ultimately, it's just not worth the extra time it takes to review a play and makes the games almost unwatchable. Hire a few more on field officials and just hope for the best.

Consistently bad!  If you read other pages (RCMB and Front Row) some people called homers out there think that the calls generally go our way.  I don't know what they've been watching this season but I beg to differ.  Todays game was no exception.  A few bad calls against us and missed calls both ways.  It didn't help that we earned about ten of our 13 penalties and we won't beat a team like Ohio State by taking ten penalties on our own.

I try to remember that these officials do this as a second job and with so many teams in the FBS, you spread the talent pretty thin.
