Seems like a good day lay down and watch all 6 star wars movies.
October 19th, 2015 at 1:52 PM ^
Luke and Leia are siblings. Which makes the tongue she slips him in Empire Strikes Back pretty twisted.
October 19th, 2015 at 2:03 PM ^
"Njia:" I'm guessing you won't be reading or watching "The Hotel New Hampshire" anytime soon...
October 19th, 2015 at 2:15 PM ^
Has the very in-her-prime Nastassja Kinski in it. That's a reason worth every bit of the story line.
October 19th, 2015 at 2:03 PM ^
Now I refuse to watch.
October 19th, 2015 at 2:07 PM ^
That is not a French kiss.

Family trip to Vermont that we do every bye week, booked massage for the wife, long intimate walks on the beach, netflix a couple romcoms, so much cuddling....
I'm 28 & single, only thing that will change is I can drink more and pay less attention to the games.

Actually, Wife Day 2015 is a family event because my football obsession affects the entire family, after all. We'll be taking the kids to the Halloween event at the Toledo Zoo actually, and there is always some cool stuff going on their anyway, including the new aquarium. What normally happens here is that I get a pretzel, then the kids suddenly want the pretzel and not the candy, so I end up spending $15 on pretzels.

There. I think that is enough times to make me not argue.
October 19th, 2015 at 5:47 PM ^
Well, you certainly didn't argue but you did make a long, passive aggressive post highlighting your viewpoint.
FWIW, I dislike zoos for being ridiculous, as well. Ridiculously boring. I'm guessing that's not your stance given your hunting comments, though.

The sharps have moved the line heavily into "mattress shopping"
October 19th, 2015 at 3:05 PM ^
...is 31.5. Small chance of having a beer in the cafe next to the womens section at Nordstrom while surrounded by shopping bags.

that's her birthday and our anniversary. Normally my wife doesn't want to do anything together on Saturdays so I'll watch whatever football is on.
October 19th, 2015 at 1:49 PM ^
No wonder you are Cranky Dave.

After she drove the 24 hour round trip from CT to the Northwestern game I'll be doing whatever she wants this Saturday. Hopefully that involves being lazy.
October 19th, 2015 at 1:37 PM ^
I'm getting out of her hair. Going to Calgary next weekend with some buddies to watch the Red Wings at the Saddle Dome. On the glass.
October 19th, 2015 at 1:39 PM ^
It's whatever she wants, which will likely be me watching the kids most of the day while she sleeps. The TV will be on split screen, meaning football on one side and cartoons on the other.
October 19th, 2015 at 3:35 PM ^
You do know that science has determined the cause of this, right?
October 19th, 2015 at 1:39 PM ^
Of heading to Flint to help with #EATING. My fiancee is great at gardening and winterizing. Now I just have to convince her to spend a fall Saturday in Flint.

for me will be on Sunday (the wife works on Saturdays) when we will be getting family pictures taken with my dad and step mom and our kids... not horrible but not fun either especially when you are trying to keep 2 year old twins occupied long enough so there is no epic melt down...
October 19th, 2015 at 1:40 PM ^
morning. Working after that till late afternoon, then probably take the family to a nice seafood dinner and never call them again till January.
October 19th, 2015 at 2:12 PM ^
hunting
I'll never understand why people do that for sport. I'm not claiming that is your purpose, but rather making a point. If you're eating for food, fine; I get that. Other than that...eeeehhhhh I won't get into that argument either.
October 19th, 2015 at 3:28 PM ^
and great sport, particularly the bowhunting that he mentions. it is up close and personal, quiet, stealth, silent draw, slow movment, heart-pounding excitement. and what you get you can eat and there is nothing better then venison. if you eat meat you have no idea how horribly your 'food' was treated before it was killed. you'd never eat it if you did.
October 19th, 2015 at 3:50 PM ^
I understand your point about food, but the sport of it, I don't. I will never support people who hunt for sport. Sorry, but I cannot kill an innocent animal just because it's fun. That is fucking bull shit.
October 19th, 2015 at 4:25 PM ^
no polo talk
two
michigan is a huge hunting state, my old high school gives the first day of rifle season off because no one would show up anyway
October 19th, 2015 at 4:33 PM ^
it is for the food. its the best food you could obtain both in taste and nutrition. it is also tremendously sporting and by that i mean challenging and exciting. juxtapose that against the animals you are eating - kept in filthy feed lots, literally up to their hocks in feces, no place to move, no natural feed, fly-covered, crowded, smelly, gross. that is [your expletives here], and that is what you are eating.
so whose doing it right, the person who may fail to get their game but gives it a go in the beauty of nature or the person who gets meat that has been grossly abused? and remember too that hunters are the first and best conservationists.
October 19th, 2015 at 6:45 PM ^
im guessing he enjoys stocking the freezer with meat not bought at the store.
if youre not looking to get into that argument then dont even mention it. pretty sure hes not referencing the targeting of lions on safari so you can rest easy.
i dont hunt but i have and its fun. healthy, legal fun

Whatever she wants to do is what I will gladly do. Rake leaves, clean up and close up the cottage, clear coat the wood on the new Pella sliding glass door, clean out some of the garage, make apple sauce, wash the floors. If we do anything non chore related, it will probably be going out to get a couple or three pumpkins.
October 19th, 2015 at 1:47 PM ^
Hey ... just because Michigan isn't playing it doesn't mean there's not some other good football game on!
#FallSaturdaysAreMine_DamnIt :-)

I can't decide if our bye week is coming at the best possible time or the worst. I should take a break from UM football for awhile after last weekend, but I also want to watch our guys take out their frustration on Minnesota.
Either way, we're probably heading to Death Valley to check it out. Haven't been yet.
October 19th, 2015 at 2:14 PM ^
I do like how our next game is at night on Halloween night.
Also, nice. I'd like to go to a game at LSU, too. I'm jealous.
October 19th, 2015 at 5:46 PM ^
I should've clarified. Death Valley National Park lol.
October 19th, 2015 at 1:49 PM ^
Fresh Apple Cider, fresh cinnamon sugar doughnuts, a petting zoo, other kids activities, a hayride, and picking out our pumpkins for Halloween. And lots and lots of end of the year yardwork to be done.
