Rank your Fanhood.
I thought it might be interesting to see how people weigh their loyalties to the various teams they follow.
If you want something a little more concrete, rank the teams you follow in order of how happy you would be if they won a championship. I'm thinking specifically pro and college big 4 sports teams, but feel free to throw in national teams or non-revenue sports teams as well if that's your bag.
For me:
1. Michigan Basketball
Spending the late 90s and early 00s as the only UM basketball fan in my school was tough, but that makes the current success that much better.
2a. Indiana Pacers
Indiana kid's gonna Indiana. I spend about 5 minutes as part of my morning routine seething about the fact Reggie Miller(and Austin Croshere) never got a ring, but I have that slight disdain for pro sports holding be back from calling them #2 alone.
2b. Michigan Football
I had the great pleasure of getting into sports right after UM won the football title in 97, so I haven't gotten the good pleasure of enjoying a championship as it happened.
4. Indianapolis Colts
Of course the team I care least about is the only one that has won a championship while I've been following them. All hail St. Peyton. All hail St. Andrew.
5. Any team representing the USA in international competition.
U-S-A, U-S-A!!!
Share yours so that I know who to downvote reflexively if you like teams that I don't.

So you're from around here and Tom Brady alone has you more of a fan than Michigan basketball? Uhh...ok.
It's his list, butthole. I'm sure he doesn't give a crap what you think.
1. UM football
2. UM basketball
3. Indianapolis Colts
4. Indiana Pacers
5. US National Teams
Pacers probably would have been higher than the Colts back in the Reggie days, but I, like a lot of Hoosiers, didn't support the Pacers as strongly after the Brawl at the Palace. I still watched and rooted for them, but it was pretty painful (like UM football recently).

Just out of curiosity, mGrowOld: why the Tigers and not the Indians?
Also why the Red Wings and not the Cleveland......oh yeah nevermind :)
The NCAA convention is to drop the men's/women's distinction for baseball and softball, for the same reason football isn't "men's football".
Why is it called the WCWS then? Women's College World Series.
I'm not trying to be a dick either. Are they planning on changing the name?
Because the CWS predates the WCWS and they liked the college world series name, I'm guessing.
You have to look kind of closely, but here are NCAA trophies showing, MBB, WBB, softball and baseball, with gender on the basketball trophies but absent for bat sports.
You'll see the same thing on the NCAA website or any press release out of MGoBlue (or wherever else). On MGoBlue the title of the team's page shows this as well.

Tell me that No. 7 is a typo.
Lol can't, pops has a degree, parents lived in Durham for a few years. Dad cheered for them when they weren't playing Michigan when I was growing up so I did too. Coach K is really the Bo of college basketball. They're on the bottom of the totem poll, but they're on it.
Sorry, but Michigan and Tennessee football are mutually exclusive (see Phillip Fulmer). Your fanhood is broken.
"So is" Duke/M bball - but when they aren't playing each other (which is decidedly seldom) I root for the Duke boys. Can't help where my family is from/schooled. Family has been in Tennessee way before Phat Phil and my dad had UM/DU degrees before the Fab Five.
Not the same thing at all. It's one thing for a team to fairly beat another team (Duke/M bball), but it's quite another for the coach of one team to throw a tantrum because his player didn't win an award and blatantly screw the other team as a result. One is simply winning, and the other is being a little bitch. Fuck Tennessee.
LOL a little resentment. At the end of the day we have a Crystal Ball and a Heisman in our case from 97, it doesn't get under my skin nowadays.
We didn't win the Crystal Ball because of Fulmer. Try to keep up.
