Haven't seen this posted yet, but Onwenu stuffs Osu commit Johnathon Cooper at the open.

Cooper dominated the other two reps...
Looks like when he didnt stumble he owned your boy.
Good. Jonathan Cooper sucks.
I think there is something wrong with me, I have watched this over 20 times and I can't get enough of it!
Reminds me of UM and MSU grads competing for a job in the open market.

That looked like a soccer dive. Maybe he was trying to get a yellow on Onwenu.

face plant.
That was one rep. Hardly enough to bade a full 'he looks like a pussy' off of.
that gives anonymous internet hardasses in their pjs a bad name.

Looks like he underestimated Onwenu's strength which meant he allowed his right foot to get pushed right back into where he was planning to swing his left
In the first video it kinda looks like he tripped himself, but in the second you can clearly see Onwenu driving up under his shoulder pads until he basically shoved him off balance.
Definitely gotta give credit to Onwenu for that one.
Watch the second angle.
In the first video it kinda looks like he tripped himself, but in the second you can clearly see Onwenu get his hands up under his shoulder pads and drives him back about 2 ft, knocking him off his feet.
Definitely gotta give credit to Onwenu for that one.

Harbaugh is going to turn his team into a pack of rabid dogs bent on all out Armageddon whenever they play OSU.

First, let's just beat Utah.
first possession of the utah game. we're on defense. stop the rush for no gain on 1st and 10. give up an 8 yard pass on second down. third down, they run play action and 4 guys are waiting to meet the qb as soon as he turns around with the ball.
over his own foot... took too wide an angle with his right foot to try and gain leverage on 365 pounds of O Lineman and his left foot wasn't ready to compensate.
Interesting...was just over on OSU's scout recruiting board having a look around...and there is a thread there boasting about Cooper winning 2/3 reps over Onwenu. My thoughts when I saw that was DE vs. OG of course the DE is going to win the majority of reps...anyway I guess its all about perspective...
50% is actually very good, given that most o-linemen won't be able to keep the d-lineman out of the backfield even 10% Of the time. The real goal of the o-line is to slow the pass rush; if you can squash it 50% of the time, that's very good indeed - OSU's line couldn't do that last year, nor could anyone else's.
So, be sure to let Les know you've conceded that 50% "win" rate to the Michigan offenseive line.
snarky little one
I really think Onwenu is going to be the best lineman we've seen since Jake Long. The guy is at least 40 pounds overweight and is still just owning people with quickness. Unreal.

You are talking to a guy who has George Morales as his avatar.
This could not be more incorrect. This drill is heavily in favor of the Rusher. I bet the defense wins 75% or more of these snaps in this setting.
If your winning 50% in this setting as an OL, your doing damn well. And NO, this in no way translates to "well, if your losing 50% of snaps in a game, your doing horrible". You cannot translate this to that for multiple reasons - helpside, fatigue, proper training/technique. At the high school level OL is coahced horribly and the raw athlete speed rushers have a huge advantage. Not so at all after proper college coaching.
Don't see him tripping. His legs stop when he gets hit & pushed to the ground. It may be only one practice rep, but it's really nice.
This is little brother mentality guys, come on. We are posting our recruit beating an OSU commit, in one rep, at a summer camp.
I can't see the video but I watched it on TV, just once in live action, and it looked like he crumpled him so badly that he might never mentally recover from it. The hit sounded like the thud of a head on car accident! He might might very well suffer PTOD (Post Traumatic Onwenu Syndrome) for the rest of his life.
