that he prefers Hai Karate.

Nobody really knows. He's not very talkative on the recruiting trail. Michigan seems to have as good of a shot as anyone, but they're not necessarily out front.

I always assumed it was Shonte Peoples, former safety from the early 90s I believe.
Shonte had gunplay with the AAPD. As in, a shootout.

But Shonte's situation was total bullshit IMHO.
He was in his apartment late at night (perhaps sleeping) and his car alarm started going off. He looks outside and sees several men in plain clothes standing around his car. He leans out the window, yells at them, and fires his gun several times.
Turns out these were police officers in plain clothes, who had tried to get into his car because they thought they saw something illegal inside (can't remember what). When Shonte yelled they shouted "Police!" before he fired his gun.
They claimed they identified themselves as cops and he shot at them, but they never found the bullets. He claims he fired in the air.
Discharging a weapon in they city (or township), okay. Trying to kill cops, no way.
offensive lineman during the first day of competition.
Alpha Dog Honolulu (Hawaii) Kaiser offensive lineman Michael Eletise did not get a ton of reps on Wednesday but the 6-foot-4, 313-pound guard from Hawaii made the most of his. Eletise was easily the most physical lineman on the day, throwing Antwuan Jackson to the ground on one rep. He keeps his feet moving on the interior and gets a great initial punch to not let the defender into his body. Next Three: 1. Gregory Little, Allen, Texas: One rep against five-star Rashan Gary aside, the nation’s No. 2 overall player looked the part on Wednesday. He was one of the few tackles that was able to keep the speedy edge rushers at bay. 2. Frederick Mauigoa, Pago Pago, American Samoa: The three-star from Samoa was one of the bigger surprises on the day. He stonewalled a couple of stout defensive tackles at the line and had the other players asking who he was. 3. Michael Onwenu, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech: The 6-foot-3, 365-pound Michigan commit is stronger as a run blocker on tape but he was pretty much impossible for the defensive tackles to move on Wednesday. He had the entire offensive jumping up and down when he threw a defender to the ground like a rag doll.

Combination of points earned from running the 40, vertical leap, shuttle drill, and kneeling power ball throw. You have to be great at everything to win. Last year's winner was Kirk Merritt (signed with Oregon) with a 148.83. Speedy Noil (A&M) won in 2013 with a 153.90. Georgia Manbearfreak Nick Chubb had a 142.59 that year. The all-time record is by former OSU commit Mike Mitchell who had a 154.47 in 2012.
So a 149.49 is pretty fucking good especially considering he's a junior to be.
I got a 34.22 today.

It's because you pay attention to Michigan more than the other schools. It's not abnormal by any means. If any recruits are like I was in High School, I wanted to get out of my Dad's shadow and stop being compared to him as an athlete. I was the older brother and I'm sure my brother got sick of being compared to me in athletics. I'm sure the opposit could be true as well.
Trublu can you give us any details about you and your dad? What level of careers and positions, and what schools or pro teams if that's not giving away too much.
Thanks.
Devin Bush Jr. says hello. FSU seems to be struggling with him.
Don't count FSU out for DB Jr.
One, it is VERY possible DBJr. was showing interest to us (and others) so other freinds from his HS could get noticed/offers - and may well indeed end up at FSU at a later date.
Two, he has had multiple crystal balls to FSU the last few days.
It is not unheard of that elite players assist in others at their high school in getting not only noticed, but offers they may not have recieved otherwise. Its a potential warning sign if the others commit, and the elite prospect does not with them, or near the same time.
The Opening will be televised on ESPNU beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday (7/9/2015). They will have coverage through Saturday.
Note that that's in Pacific Time. It's airing at 8:00 eastern.
