OT: Long weekend plans - Humblebragging edition
I'll be spending most of the long weekend with people I'm not exactly fond of, doing things I'd rather not do.
Is anyone doing something fun this weekend? Taking the boat out? Getting on a plane and taking a vacation? Two chicks at the same time?
Tell us all about your plans.
I'm going to see my cousin. She just turned 7 and she's an adorable little rascal.
Vegas. Clubs. Strippers. Good times.

- Go to Fajardo on the east coast and go on a catamaran snorkling trip. Go visit the Camuy caves and the Arecibo radio telescope on the NW side of the island. Go to Old San Juan. Go to the rainforest and go swimming. There is a watering hole with a waterfall that you can jump off of which is fun to do. Go to a casino.
Thanks for the tips! I know we're planning on the rainforest, old San Juan, the Bicardi distillery, fishing and seeing family (my girl's family). Should be a blast!
Bioluminescent Bay
Girlfriends parents always rent a house on Lake Michigan in a really small town. They like to drink and have a good time, so it will be 3 days or great food, and some awesome Wisconsin beers/bloody marys.
New Glarus!!!
Hopefully her parents are cool. I've had weekends with ex-girlfriends where I was stuck in a cabin with her and all of her family. If they are a nice and fun group then it can be a good time, but if you don't have a great relationship with the parents, then it can feel like the longest weekend ever. Good luck.
I love me some Spotted Cow
On tap.
Just flew back to Michigan to visit my family and then I'm heading to Detroit for the weekend for Movement
I went every year for about the first 10. Ahh to be single and childless again.
Yes, probably too many lol. Innervisions, Nina Kraviz, Old Miami, Paradigm Presents Rebel Rave. Ambitious, so we'll see...
50-person golf scramble with a cookout/kegger afterwards on Saturday. Taking the boat out Sunday for some water skiing and relaxing on the water. Always look forward to this weeked.
Special thanks to all of the troops.
That's what my friend Craig J. calls "a full weekend".*
*Allegedly.
Craig James, is that you?
I'd kind of like to hear more about your weekend TBH.
Mullet Lake! Boat is stuck behind two big yachts up on blocks, so the marina says. Maybe I'll have it for July 4.
Love Michigan in the summer and hate to leave, but it is nice down here right now.

Eating at Cracker Barrel, watching Judge Judy & coaching Peruvian prison football.
Practicing golf...headed to Pinehurst, NC next weekend for a 6-round bucket list trip.
Tobacco Road is beautiful. I don't know if I'd put it in my top 5, but it's close. Pinehurst #2 is something else. I wish I wasn't so young when I played it. I was only like 12 so I don't think I appreciated it as much as I should have. Definitely want to head back down to that area and play those courses again.
Yep, played Tobacco Road. Visually, one of the coolest courses I've ever played. Some of the approach shots were a little ridiculous, but overall I thought it was an awesome course. Shot my best round of the weekend there too, so that helps.
My overall ranking, from favorite to least favorite, was:
#2, #8, Dormie Club, Tobacco Road, #4, and #9.
But they were all great. #2 is on a different level though, of course. The epitome of a golf course that tests all of your shot-making ability, without any gimmicks. Everything is in front of you. But everything requires absolute precision. It was a holy experience. Top 3 favorite courses of all time.
I posted about this in the Softball/Posbang thread. The MGoBoard had some really good suggestions on what to do.
But in the spirit of humblebrag, I forgot to ask: We're taking our 50' Ocean Yachts 50 Super Sport from OBX to the East River. Any suggestions on suitable slips with golf cart access to helipads?
(Pay no attention to the fact that I was begging for cheap entertainment suggestions on the other thread. That's all part of my "billionaire next door" persona.)
I'll be grilling two chickens at the same time... does that count?
