Per rivals mod John Borton
His high school coach just confirmed that coach Harbaugh booted him.

Potential contributors. Not starters.
Kind of sad.
In addition to a medical or two.
From the team
Discipline or other reason given? Not a member at Rivals so can't see the content.
Hard to blame him. Brady never really used him effectively and it seems like Jim either doesn't think he fits his scheme or doesn't think he is good enough to even stay on offense.
He was so much fun too watch. I am not so sure he was the greatest returner, when you look at actual production. But his enthusiasm was contagious.
On a related note. I use a work computer and can't get drupal as my system adminstrator won't let me download anything.
I am trying to attch a photo of one of his punt returns against MD.
Any suggestions?
I'm not going to say he was a great returner but its hard to say he was a bad one given Michigan's atrocious special teams play over the years.
Overall, Norfleet HAS under-performed.
But it's pretty hard to find exactly where to put most of the blame considering:
Hoke & staffs overall coaching ability.
3 Different OC's (with none of them known for slot-receiver-love)
Generally poor O-line play.
Abysmal special teams scheme & execution.
and to be honest, while I'm sure Norfleet is a very hard worker, maybe he had an attitude or skill-set that just didn't mesh as well with the new staff?
Nothing bothers me more than wasted potential.
of blowing in this post.../s
I'm having a terrible day and trying to lighten my own mood.
I hope this is not true. He's fun to watch in the return game.
Please tell me this is not true.
This is not true.
(But it is.)
...Norfleet is the Schrodinger's cat of Michigan players?
Ok, I can breathe now.
Dismissed? I was thinknig transfer. Ugh.
Hope we get some confirmation soon.
I searched "Norfleet" on twitter and there are tweets about Norfleet being dismissed from an hour ago.
The biggest downside to this is not football. Norfleet needs to get his degree. :(
This was my first thing that came to mind.

He should have thought of that before skipping multiple finals last month. That's what happened according to 247, anyway.
First things first: Norfleet seems like a talented and entertaining guy that could school all of us athletically.
That being said, I think he has been crowded out of each of the positions to which he may have contributed. He's not really tall enough to be a WR in the B1G, not quite strong enough for RB, not quite elusive enough to stave off Peppers at PR/KR.
If he truly is on his way out, I wish him the best and perhaps he can find success elsewhere.
Fair enough. Those guys are the exception though. Trying to make it as a WR at 5'7" and 168-lbs is an uphill battle.

Meh. I don't think these things have that much of an effect. Boubacar Cissoko was dismissed, and we have still recruited Cass Tech pretty well. Things did not go well with the Talbott brothers, and we still got Tyree Kinnel.
I agree that they're pro-MSU, but the pro-MSU vibe has been there before. If Donnie Corley picks MSU, it probably has more to do with the Corley/Detroit King/MSU relationship than with what happened to a guy Michigan's previous staff recruited in 2012.

I didn't say anything about baggage...
The "Why" from this. It was rumored for about a week that he was going to be gone, but the "dismissed" aspect is surprising. Figured he would just transfer.
This doesn't mean he's not going to play for another school.
I just meant rumors of him leaving were assumed to just be a general transfer for playing time, not that he has been dismissed from the Michigan program (and will obviously transfer).
There have been rumors here and there of anywhere from 1-4 players leaving since about a week ago. It was thought that info. would start coming out any time now. I'm kind of expecting more transfers and/or medicals.
Dismissed? Why? Please tell me this isn't a 'making room' type of thing...not that anyone here would know for sure.

Do you mean medical hardship? Medical redshirt just means he sits out a year with injury (which is what he did last year). Medical hardship is when your career is done.
The new "Tom Beaver" board poster at Scout confirmed that Norfleet was dismissed.
I don't subscribe to either site, but what a revolving door that seems to be.
transfer to WMU. Fleck would put his skills to use!
