NO. BAD BUSINESS SOPHOMORE. GO AWAY
“The Victors” could soon have a modernistic younger sibling.
If a resolution presented to the Central Student Government on Tuesday night passes, the body will provide funding to a group of students looking to develop an additional thematic song to play at University athletics events.
Central Student Government.
I don't know who you are. If you're looking for jobs I can tell you I don't have any. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired from the internet. Skills that make me a nightmare for people who will be in job interviews with people who have googled you. If you vote this down unanimously, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for your facebook photos. I will not scour your instagram. But if you vote for this, I will find your linkedin. I will find your whole internet. And I will kill your search results.
dude annihilated his twitter page two seconds after I found it
The patient zeroes:
Business sophomore Adam Weiss, a representative on the CSG Assembly, spoke on behalf of the song campaign, which he called “Hail and Unite.” He said his friend, LSA senior Mike Weinberg, conceptualized the project.
“This project is meant to be, number one, extremely unique,” Weiss said. “The goal of this song is to get a lot of big names that are associated with the University.”
"Extremely unique." #expelAdamWeiss

Underage drinking. Perhaps we can get him kicked out of school for this ? He looks like enough of an asswipe to be an OSU student, Urban take him away./s
On the other hand, thank God for Brian, this must be stopped at all costs.

You have no way of knowing what's in his red cup. I'm sure it's just Sprite.
February 11th, 2015 at 1:51 PM ^
So, the same dude who whines about old people in the stadium telling him to sit down is now throwing an internet hissy fit and threatening a kid for suggesting something outside of tradition? I'm unsure of whether the irony or idiocy here is more noteworthy.
Not cool.
February 11th, 2015 at 2:04 PM ^
He's not even suggesting a specific song. He's trying to assure the success of his extremely unique new tradition without actually doing the hard risky work of creating and promoting something. Then we're all going to enjoy his heretofore unknown song at football games while he expands his resume. Screw that. If the kid wants to create something he should create it. The scorn is deserved.

and we must stop it.
before it hurts someone.

I feel like I just want to start yelling at these kids. I cannot be held responsible for anything I might say.

There is a broader theme here...too many FUCKING BUSYBODIES IN THIS WORLD!

February 11th, 2015 at 12:49 PM ^
Please note Adam Weiss died on the way back to his home planet.
February 11th, 2015 at 2:07 PM ^
When Adam Weiss isn't around, all other characters must ask "Where's Adam?"

Double post. Rastify him by 10%.

Scorched earth.
Edit: ok, obviously nothing beyond some insults on this board is appropriate. That said, if you're that much of a jackass to come up with this idea, be prepared for some well deserved mockery.February 11th, 2015 at 11:58 AM ^
to never get a job working for any Michigan grad, or fan. Ever.

Bad ideas need criticism. That's how we avoid them becoming bad practices.
February 11th, 2015 at 11:24 AM ^
It's SO one-of-a-kind, that it's NONE-of-a-kind.
Seriously, though, isn't this basically cyber-bullying? And I'm not kidding. You basically ambushed the kid for an idea with which you disagree. Can't say that I'm in agreement with your course of action here, Brian. Seems you've leveraged your pretty large podium to tear this kid down in a very "get off my lawn" moment. If it's as bad an idea as you think it is, you'd hope that the rest of the student body would concur.
February 11th, 2015 at 11:30 AM ^
Awful ideas like this need to be stopped immediately before they gain any traction. Brian is doing what needs to be done.
February 11th, 2015 at 11:39 AM ^
Oddly, you're both right.
February 11th, 2015 at 12:13 PM ^
Agree, dont know how to feel but Brian may have disrupted the path of a future Dave Brandon.
February 11th, 2015 at 12:22 PM ^
The crux isnt that this person is a/the problem. Rather, it's an idea many disagree with. Not bullying. Way to go Brian.

It doesn't matter to me if they have the best intentions or not. "I'm going to kill your career prospects" is the wrong response, period.
February 11th, 2015 at 12:46 PM ^
Agree 100%. Song idea sounded dumb and probably wouldn't have gotten any traction. In the unlikely event that it did get traction, that means it did so through a democratic process so whatevs. But that's purely hypothetical. It was a bad idea that would've gone nowhere.
Brian was 100% a dick in his response. Disagreeing with the merits of the idea was fine. Threatening to destroy the career prospects of everyone involved, even jokingly (which apparently it was not given the personal info about the guy in the post), was pure 100% unadulterated scumbag.
Dick move Brian. I give ZERO shits what you do with me, my Facebook pictures, my Twitter, my Instagram, my user account here, or this post. I *DARE* you to retaliate against me, asshole. Because I'm standing up to you and your petty, retaliatory bullying.

Easy is the descent into Hell, for it is paved with good intentions.
February 11th, 2015 at 12:34 PM ^
Perhaps we should just burn the kid at the stake!!
You may agree or disagree with this or any other idea, yet there are appropriate and inappropriate ways of dissenting. This, I'm afraid, is inappropriate. Sorry if you can't see that.

upvoted not because i agree, but because i spit a bit of coffee on my keyboard when i lol'd. i don't know if i have ever read someone's comment who had the balls to call brian an asshole. i like balls. upvote!

So, you've been an MGoMember since 2009 and haven't heard someone on here call Brian an asshole yet? You've missed out on a lot, namely, the WLA invasion a while back and the reaction to Brian's ban-fest a year or so ago.
February 11th, 2015 at 11:49 AM ^
I think you mean butthole. Like people think Harbaugh is a "butthole". It's a compliment.
February 11th, 2015 at 12:41 PM ^
about whether there's a difference between asshole and butthole. Not in your body there isn't but yeah in common parlance there is. A butthole can be a term of endearment for someone who is a complainer. A whining troll. An asshole OTOH has no redeeming value. You call lots of people you don't know this, but you only call a friend one if s/he does something pretty bad. Also, despite notable exceptions (like things kids do at the end of long drunken nights), assholes generally average 35 years of age or more.
Now, back to Brian. The Brian persona that I have come to detect--the hologram that hovers before my screen--is really far more butthole (a kvetcher, to intro another term) than asshole. A dear old familiar butthole. A member of the family. I mean, for one thing he's on our team.
For another thing, he helped bring down Dave Brandon!
Now there was an assh*le.
February 11th, 2015 at 4:08 PM ^
is in no way a criticism of Brian's post. That kid is an example of everything that is wrong with America. The sooner we start laughing hysterically and pointing our fingers at people who come up with inane crap like this the sooner we take back our frickin' country!
February 11th, 2015 at 3:39 PM ^

Cyber-Bullying, BS concept don't go on the internet people won't offend you. You want to put your idea's out there, prepare to get all types of opinions. Its a big bad world out there and if you think there is such a thing as "Cyber bullying" you are ill prepared.
