HELLO SHELTON JOHNSON!
Strange one here - all we heard after his visit was he was quite disinterested. FSU is getting a major class with 5 stars dripping out of every pore so maybe he sees the near immediate playing time in 2016.
20 minutes out no need to hold back...won't affect things at this point. barring a Weber-like change of heart I think Michigan gets Johnson.

One guy I haven't talked about because his feet have been getting colder than Mike Weber's in the past 24 hours is Fla. DE Shelton Johnson

CFB gods you owe us one.

Can't tell if teasing for clicks or actually serious.
Meh. Hopefully we do get him!

February 4th, 2015 at 3:05 PM ^
Clicks on his tweets? What benefit would he get from that?
February 4th, 2015 at 2:54 PM ^
Getting Shelton and Wheatley would be excellent. We already have a stable of solid running backs, and are fine there as long as we recruit well in 2016. But our defensive line needs help.
February 4th, 2015 at 2:55 PM ^
Would much rather take Johnson over Weber... crossing fingers...... cmon coach Durkin....
February 4th, 2015 at 2:56 PM ^
??
Same question for Wheatley...

That title is kinda weird...makes it sound like Weber will have a change of heard and that will affect Johnson... which I'm like, I didn't think Johnson was being recruited as an RB, so how would Weber affect that... plus didn't Weber send his LOI into OSU already, so... whaaa???
Ok now I get it.
February 4th, 2015 at 3:06 PM ^
Apologies - I added the word "like".
February 4th, 2015 at 2:58 PM ^
That reads to me like, while Webb is unsure, he (Johnson) is still leaning Michigan. Even in the context of Webb's previous tweet...
February 4th, 2015 at 3:03 PM ^
OP left out the key word "Like" from the thread title
February 4th, 2015 at 2:58 PM ^
And crystal ballz for Jefferson now going to GA lol. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 4th, 2015 at 3:06 PM ^
...as soon as it was announced that Michigan was out and his finalists were just Ole Miss and UGA.
I assumed it was your assumption earlier and that it was all of the people who hadn't picked correctly for me to Ole Miss switching their picks since they weren't locked in.
I really didn't look into it much, I just thought it confirmed your assumption from a couple of weeks ago.
But yes, they're all on UGA now.

You mean uninterested. Disinterested means to have no personal stake in the outcome.

that's a funny joke and you ruined it.
BTW, there's a gross joke somewhere in your statement above....I'll leave it be though.

Sam needs to build some cred with me again... IMO he's drained all the benefit of doubt points through the coaching search and this year's recruiting period.

First, people will toss out false excuses to rationalize their behavior. I'm not saying anyone lied, but that's what the brain is designed to do.
Second, did Wilfong actually quote anyone or was it his speculation?
Third, I could see someone close to Weber trying to protect him by throwing out an excuse, sort of blaming Michigan, telling M fans that it's their fault he's going to OSU.
Finally, I'm supposed to believe that Weber decided not to go to Michigan b/c they also stole a 3-star from Iowa and instead chose to go to a place w/ a clear pre-season All American and a number one running back committed in the next class. Now, that's possible b/c 18.
All told, I'd respect him more if that weren't a reason. Without further proof I'll suspend judgment on this one.

Webb is saying as of 1 AM Weber was going blue ... things change man.
February 4th, 2015 at 3:05 PM ^
Nothing wrong w/ the language but given the day's events I thought at first you were suggesting we'd take Johnson unless Weber flipped back. Of course, with a signed LOI that's not happening, but I was confused nonetheless.

I can't blame Webb for getting Weber wrong. It seems like Weber's OSU friends convinced him that Harbaugh lied to him. It was a weird situation that you can't predict.
Otherwise, Webb has been doing well today.
EDIT: Also, multiple experts are saying that Webb could be right on Johnson.

The thought all along was DE Shelton Johnson to #FSU, but the #Michigan buzz has been loud the last two days. We should know in minutes

I'll raise my hand as 100% dead wrong on this guy - all the talk was he was not interested after the visit but aquaman and a few others said NOT SO FAST yesterday.

Coach Harbaugh does it again. Congrats to Shelton, for making a tough but ultimately rewarding decision, both academically as well as athletically.

was just received. I got the text message from the Michigan Athletic dept about 5 minutes ago that Coach Harbaugh has received Johnson's LOI.
Officially official
