I have zero knowledge, but…

I have zero knowledge, but thought it odd on a couple occasions in CFP postgame comments, Harbaugh mentioned Moore, Minter, and Jay Harbaugh. No mention of Hart, so I wonder if there might be some smoke here.

Harbaugh pulling down the…

Harbaugh pulling down the curtain on the podium says it all. Thanks Coach Harbaugh! Good luck with your future NFL coaching career. You came and did what you set out to do and did not have to die trying! Go Blue! NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!

In all fairness, Sherrone…

In all fairness, Sherrone Moore called us Michigan University.

Don't forget Liberty. When…

Don't forget Liberty. When they upset Oregon, they will be National Champs! Michigan just can't get away from sharing their championships! LOL!

Yep. It is easy to put FSU…

Yep. It is easy to put FSU ahead of Georgia when it is 5 & 6. But if it was down to those two teams for #4, then Georgia jumps them.

If FSU was undefeated in the…

If FSU was undefeated in the SEC, they are in (PERIOD). IF FSU was undefeated in the Big Ten, they are in (PERIOD).

Does not matter if they had multiple injuries.

The disrespect of the ACC will be the conference's undoing.

ACC is done! FSU will leave…

ACC is done! FSU will leave immediately.

Michigan would be favored…

Michigan would be favored over FSU, Texas, and Washington.
I see the Alabama line as a pick em.

How do you penalize the #1 team wiht the toughest matchup?

JUST PUT US IN THE ROSE BOWL PLEASE!

Playing Alabama or Texas in the Sugar Bowl is not ideal.

I came on here to say the same thing. Day made a stupid error in not calling time out after 2nd down. If he calls the time out, then we are forced to run and take the time off the clock on third. By allowing the time to already come off the clock, I felt this was the perfect time to attempt a pass and get the first down, because OSU would use a timeout anyway. Is forcing that last time out that critical?  In college, I do not think so with the clock stoppages after 1st downs. I would have liked them to have been more aggressive in that situation.

Knowing what we know now...Would you have rather Michigan get the first down and run out the clock winning 27-24 or take the 30-24 win with the INT?

Problem with ACC is they are…

Problem with ACC is they are owned by POS ESPN!

To hell with the SEC.

Only option is to go independent!

Everyone wants to talk about how bad our schedule has been. We are 6-0 in what is supposed to be a Super-Conference. The Big 10 is crap in football outside of 2 or 3 teams. With all the money these schools are getting how can they field such shitty teams? Stop complaining about Michigan, the problem is the league so just leave!

With a 12 team playoff next year, conference will not matter as much!

I assume the fear is the…

I assume the fear is the NCAA will push for a 6 game suspension and they would rather break it up over two years instead of waiting until 2024. This way he doesn't miss any meaningful games this season and if they add on a few more games next year it will only impact an out of conference game vs. Texas. If they wait until next year, he may have to sit out potentially 6 games meaning missing 3 conference games.

What the hell Miami? Didn't…

What the hell Miami? Didn't you know the rules that you had to draft two Wolverines? Poor Hayes, having to go at it alone! :)

LSU getting blown out does…

LSU getting blown out does not help Bama one bit.

If GA loses and Michigan…

If GA loses and Michigan wins, then there is no way Michigan does not end up #1.

So then what do you do with Georgia? Put them at #2? If TCU wins, then that is your matchup and Michigan gets OSU. Drop them to #3 and you get the same thing.

In this scenario, the only way to avoid a Michigan vs. OSU game, would be to move OSU to #3 over GA which would be absurd.

Plus last year was because…

Plus last year was because of SEC bias. I do not think the Big Ten will get the same consideration. Last year everyone felt GA and Alabama were the two best teams. I don't think anyone is feeling the same way this year with Michigan and OSU.

I hope you are right! If we…

I hope you are right! If we face them again, let it be for the NATTY!

Last year felt like it was easy to do, this year could cause added controversy if it is outright obvious. Not sure how the 5th ranked team with a blowout home loss would jump over the #1 team who loses a tight SEC championship game.

This would be glorious! But…

This would be glorious! But the stress and anxiety leading up to that National Championship Game might just kill me first! :O

It is not a foregone…

It is not a foregone conclusion that OSU will match up with Georgia.

Georgia, Michigan, and TCU win then yes.

Georgia loses and Michigan & TCU win, then I see UM #1 and OSU #4

If GA and Michigan wins and TCU loses badly could cause a UM vs. OSU in the 2 vs. 3 game.

If GA loses and TCU loses a close game, then could be UM and OSU again in the 1 vs. 4.

There is a path to a rematch in the semi-finals.

I was at the game last night…

I was at the game last night as Allentown is only an hour and 15 minutes from my home. Very excited to see the team play and enjoyed the game. With that said, I think the top seeds should host the Regionals as it would be more likely to sell out. Last night was well attended, but far from a sell out.

We are 0-4 defending 2 point…

We are 0-4 defending 2 point plays this season and only 1 of 4 converting 2 pointers. Just terrible! And to allow a team to go 3 for 3 on 4th down all on the same drive is crazy. Michigan plays such great defense on 1st and 2nd downs only to get beat on the big downs. I will take the win! Beating PSU is always a great feeling. A potential 10 win season was never thought of as a possibility at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately another season where they are not good enough to beat Ohio. Getting amped up for the basketball game tonight. We are a Basketball School! Go Blue!

Agreed. My belief is he…

Agreed. My belief is he wants to coach his sons through college. Once they are done, then the NBA could be a real option, but I do not think it would happen before then.

Livers needs to step up! Not…

Livers needs to step up! Not sure what is up with him right now, but he is becoming passive and seems to have lost some confidence in his shot. His fire and aggressiveness must return for this team to make a deep run in the tournament. I think he might be playing himself right out of the NBA draft. Maybe that is the problem and the "NBA" is in his head right now. Absolutely loved him throughout his Michigan career and he will go down as another great "Michigan Man", but please find that spark, the team needs you tomorrow and beyond.

The only McCaffrey in the…

The only McCaffrey in the entire McCaffrey family tree to not succeed is the one that came to Michigan. Go figure. Just our luck!

35 games without a WR having…

35 games without a WR having a 100 yard game! Have to go back to Jehu Chesson in 2016 vs. Maryland. This is incredible. Gentry did have one game over 100 yards from the TE position. Michigan needs to take more shots down field and have more trust in the wide receivers to make plays then things might open up across the middle and we might just get some speed in space!

Yes. 14 point margin if up 8 on a 2 point conversion first.

Largest margin of victory…

Largest margin of victory would be 14 points.

ASU beat USC 48-35 in double OT in 1996.

Magnus,

Don't you feel it…

Magnus,

Don't you feel it is a way for these schools to make bigger inroads into Michigan and especially De La Salle? By taking this kid it may build stronger ties between coaching staffs and could lead to landing a bigger fish in the next year or two or longer. I know Michigan has taken kids out of Columbus that OSU never offered for similar reasons. Plus it gives the kid extra motivation to prove the local school wrong.

After some quick research of…

After some quick research of my own, I was very surprised to see Michigan has more baseball national championships (2) than any other team remaining in the tournament. In fact the only other team alive that has a national championship would be Vanderbilt with one. Pretty shocked especially to see that Florida St and North Carolina have never won one. In fact even more surprised to see that UCLA only has one title themselves!

Excited! But I feel the same way. I can only watch our guys bat! Back to the hockey game now!

I am not so sure about…

I am not so sure about Howard. I think he may turn out to be a really good coach, but all of his experience is in the NBA. We need someone that is willing to recruit tirelessly and is a "college guy". I feel if Michigan gives Howard the job, it will be a stepping stone back to the NBA in say 3 years.

Get a nice tailgating spot…

Get a nice tailgating spot on the golf course and leave the little ones behind with a designated chaperone while the grown-ups go into the game. My mom and wife have stayed behind with my little ones many times back in the day and still very much enjoyed themselves while I attended the game with my dad.

Yep. My strategy exactly. I…

Yep. My strategy exactly. I got $100 on the Spartans! If the Wolverines win, I am crazy excited and happy to lose the $100 investment. If State wins, I get money. Just started using My Bookie site. Probably going to bet $500 on Ohio in The Game this season.

Now your going to have to…

Now your going to have to share your winnings with everyone on this site as we are all running out to buy tickets now!

I want it to be Johns. He…

I want it to be Johns. He just looks the part from a size perspective. I was in Connecticut for the games and he just looked like someone lacking confidence. Maybe it is confusion still trying to learn the system, but he looked like he is struggling mentally and maybe overthinking/analyzing everything and afraid to make mistakes. Just my observation, I could be wrong. As great as the start of the season has been, imagine how much easier these games would have gone if they could only shoot their free throws. 11-23 from the foul line compared to 11-22 from 3 point range last night.

Shea may need another year…

Shea may need another year and I appreciated/enjoyed his play this season, but I think it is time to turn over the reigns to McCaffrey with Milton as the solid #2. My thinking is everyone is the QB room had an understanding that Shea was on a one year deal. I understand things can change, and it would probably benefit him to stay, but I am ready for the McCaffrey era to fully begin.

How about a bowl win over…

How about a bowl win over UCF? Would that be big enough? Potentially beating the team with the nation's longest winning streak? I will take that opportunity right now especially without Milton playing. After this past weekend, I would be a little apprehensive to possibly get exposed again against the likes of a team like Georgia. I assume we will have several NFL defectors not play in the bowl game either. I would be happy with a matchup in the Rose Bowl vs. Washington, but that would mean a trip to the CFP for OSU.

I agree this team is ahead…

I agree this team is ahead of schedule. I don't know if they are ready to take down UNC just yet, but wouldn't rule it out if they keep up the defensive intensity. Johns is my biggest concern right now when it comes to adding some depth. Leaning on mainly 7 players to carry the load right now is a problem as the Big Ten schedule will take its toll on the team. Johns looks like he has zero confidence. I was really hoping he would be a bigger contributor thus far. Maybe Beilein works his magic and things will start to click for him. Also looking for more growth out of Davis moving forward over the next month.

How about Kalen Deloach? I…

How about Kalen Deloach? I thought we were sitting pretty good with him after his visit Penn St. weekend.

Add Gentry to the list. My…

Add Gentry to the list. My guess was 5, (Gary, Bush, Bredeson, Long, & Gentry). I thought Hill would stay but based on draft projections, he may end up leaving also. So I am leaning towards 6.

I can see 27 or 28 for this…

I can see 27 or 28 for this class.
11 players with no eligibility left.
1 open spot with Taylor leaving
6 or 7 early entrants to NFL draft
3 or 4 scholarships offered to walk-ons this year were 1 year deals. I suspect Wilson keeps his.
2 eligible 5th year guys transfer out.
4 underclassmen transfer out.

Not to mention, it probably is very likely 1 or 2 among the current committed class may not stick.

Pretty cool! I think it…

Pretty cool! I think it would have been even better had they put the Paul Bunyan trophy on display in every room during the virtual tour!

10-2 is the ceiling…

10-2 is the ceiling unfortunately. Not ready to beat OSU on the road unless they have some significant injuries during the year and we improve offensively and stay healthy.

MSU is a must win no matter how you slice it.

I suspect we split between Wisconsin and PSU and finish 9-3.

Northwestern has me a little nervous right now on the road, but I believe Michigan will prevail.

Is Texas overrated as always or can Maryland potentially be good?

Bottom is 7-5, but god help us all if Michigan ends up here.

In 2020 & 2023 we have home…

In 2020 & 2023 we have home games against Purdue and road games at Minnesota. These are the only two times we play those teams over the next 8 years. This means we do not see Minnesota at home or travel to Purdue during this time. Unless there is a scheduling quirk, common sense would be for Michigan to be away at Purdue and home against Minnesota in 2023. Maybe this is because of the Purdue locker rooms not being up to standards? Maybe Purdue needs more than 8 years to renovate? Or maybe after Harbaugh's complaints last year, Purdue has decided to always play Michigan on the road going forward? Just some food for thought.

Looking at the scholarship…

Looking at the scholarship count, if indeed Schoenle, Cheeseman, Vastardis, and Wilson all just recently received scholarships for the 2018 season, then it appears by my count we are one over the limit. And this is assuming Glasgow is back to being a walk-on again after gaining a scholarship last year. Just on the raw numbers, I suspect someone else has left the team.

I would like to think

we are a 3 seed playing in Detroit. However I can't beleive MSU only dropped to #4 in the recent AP poll. You know we will get screwed and they definitely put MSU in Detroit. So it comes down to Purdue or Michigan for the second spot. I don't feel good about it based on the initial NCAA projections with purdue being so high. But then again they can't say it is head to head (Purdue winning 2 of 3) when we swept MSU. It will be very interesting. I am more concerned with who our second round opponent would be. Hoping for the 3 seed to get the 6 seed and avoid the #1's. The two #1's that I want to stear clear of is Virginia and Villanova. Would also prefer to stay away from Duke. Looking at the possible #5 & #6's, who would you like to see in our bracket? Arkansas, Nevada, young Kentucky, TCU, Miami, maybe Houston? I think WVU falls to a #5, but I would want to stay away from them with there high pressure and huge potential. I think they are one of the most underachieving teams this season, but could do damage in the tournament.

Great game

up until Drevno took over Oklahoma's play calling in the overtimes.
