our program has been in a bad funk! May be the switch will help but the biggest help will be from JH as our new HC!

Although I'm not a huge fan of the adidas uniforms, for me it's more about the general apparel available that makes me want nike back.
I've come to deal with the highlighter yellow, it's not too bad in moderation at this point. The alternates have been ok recently for football and basketball.
I just see so many nice sweatshirts/tees/hats available for schools like OSU/Bama/etc and I almost never see something for Michigan that is adidas brand that I want to buy. I just end up buying the cheap value stuff off Mden as my old Nike gear wears out.

Most lucrative apparrel contracts (some figures approximate, based on variable contracts):
1. Michigan (Adidas, $6MM)
2. Texas (Nike, $5.7MM)
3. Florida State (Nike, $4.4MM)
4. Louisiana State (Nike, $4.3MM)
5. Kansas (!) (Adidas, $4MM)
Michigan also received a $6,500,000 signing bonus from Adidas.
Needless to say, Michigan will likely be getting a couple million less on its next contract, no matter who they sign with.

I'd rather we not be sponsored by a human rights violater like Nike. That stuff matters.

And you think Adidas apparel isn't made in sweatshops, too? As long as sports gear is made in third world countries, that's what you're going to get, unfortunately.

Please oh God let this be true.
The extra money is NOT worth it. I am completely convinced that Adidas vs. Nike is costing us wins on the field. In recruiting, and in PERFORMANCE of the athletes. Nike is top of the line. Best shoes, best clothes, you can perform much better in this gear, and feel much better too.
I would take several million less on a contract for the competetive advantage that is Nike.
Just look at this year's playoff: All Nike. Make this happen, Mark.
