One Frame At A Time: Northwestern
I could be done there, but for some reason there are 40 more of these.
I have a problem.
But not nearly as much of a problem as anyone who attended this game. A summary, in lieu of the normal format, because that was not a normal football game, if one is to be so kind to refer to it as "football" in the first place.

Off to a roaring start.
The children are horrified.
"Get excited! It can't get worse than this!"...
...thought the poor, stupid child.
It is not yet halftime.
Okay now it's halftime maybe everyone will pull themselves together.
Or not.
Confirmed: definitely not.
The only way Michigan could reach the end zone in this game: a short field set up by a dongfumble.
Hey man are you having a seizure oh right dongfumble carry on.
YOU ARE TRAUMATIZING YOUR CHILD, SIR.
Northwestern scores! For the love of all things sacred and holy, please try to end this horrorshow.

Has there ever been a game in the history of college football with more dong punching than this one?
November 10th, 2014 at 2:41 PM ^
There is only one candidate and it is the Indiana-Penn State game that took place immediately before this one.

The IU-PSU game is a close 2nd. They combined for more yards (31) and points (1), and less turnovers (2). Very close. IU also has a somewhat legit excuse in that they are playing with their 5th string QB. Such is not the case with either Michigan or NW.

Toledo. I rest my case.

I mercifully missed that last Gardner INT because I was unloading the dishwasher or some such thing. Thank goodness I was unloading the dishwasher. I <3 dishwasher.

that Funchess rundown for a tackle is one of the best individual effort plays I've seen in a while, at least at Michigan. Well done, Devin.
November 12th, 2014 at 4:59 PM ^
Mason Cole, Ben Braden & Bo Dever put in some good efforts there too.
I'd say Funchess's effort was similar to Jordoun Lewis's tackle earlier this year.

That's what my hall of fame high school football coach would have called the game. And I think that's grabasstastic. Grabbingass, suckingass, totalass. Both teams were ass. Do I have a fuxation?
Perhaps.
I ran errands and didn't watch until 3Q late when the Tweets O'hilarity arrived here in Chicago and I turned on the ass-tastic game to watch mutual implosion while stoking groceries in the fridge. Sunday was Bears v. Packers. So basically my whole weekend was grabass.
Thanks coach.

The purple line train ride back from the game to Chicago was filled with Michigan fans. It was soooo quiet it felt like we all had just attended a funeral.
We had a great time at the game sitting next to two drunk NW fans. Both sides argued (nicely) all game that "our team" is worse than "your team". Most plays ended with one side or the other saying, "See, we suck more".
In the end, we had to agreed they were the suckiest. Barely.
